hi i have an 07 atomik pro x 140 and it is time to replace the chain but i cant remember if its a 420# or 428# pitch? any help would be great

but according to Atomik | Dirt & Pit Bikes - Default Store View

the bigfoot(14"r/17"f) runs a #428
while the Nitros (12"r/14"f) runs a #420

flip a coin lol, sorry cant be more helpful..

the pitch is the same, its the sprocket thickness that is different. Thin ones are 420, thick ones are 428.

Just take your chain in with you to the moto shop and ask them to match it up.

then hit them with your old chain and run out the door with the new one

oh lol i just went and had a look mate it will be a 428 as its the same as mine ..... well the pink one of mine anyway

doesn't your existing chain have any markings on it ?

just clean a few of the links up and look for a number stamped into it...

its an 83 xl 250 running the zongshen 250 engine but the conversion works on both the xr and xl's ..... mine is the model where they swang over from the duel shock to the mono shock but i have a twin shock in the shed im halfway thru doing the same conversion
