Had a play with some carnuba wax on the plastics today, they look quite shiny now!

Got the clutch and kick start and idler gears today from dhz, is just me or does this basket look seconhand? Seems to have a lot of marks on it for brand new....

I also grabbeda new kicker and a couple of oil filters

I found this in the bottom of the side case to, what is it and where does it go?

looks like the basket could be new, just has been chucked in a shelf somewhere on top of others maybe ?
did you buy a complete clutch or just a basket ?
is it stamped Daytona inside it ?

I brought the whole clutch from dhz that had the crank gear etc. Just has 150 stamped on it, and came in a inside out lifan parts box. These are the ones that got me thinking..

I no they are hard to see, but are uniform all the way round

mmm, hard to tell?
is there any marks where the splined washer that holds it to the shaft has rubbed on the inside of the basket?
no marks on the clutch hub where the washer and castle lock nut have been done up ?

No obvious washer marks, but a heap of these sratches, if you can see it, I havnt dismantled it yet..

Rang dhz and they are sending me another clutch basket, ken was great to deal with. Wish I hadnt started this though...

4 hrs in and im almost done with the 280 grit now for the next 5 steps lol

Cheers guys, I did it by hand upto 1200 grit, and then finished it off with the dremel. Im out of pads now so the few bits that still need doing will have to wait and yes craig my fingers are sore! He look on callums face wen he saw it made it worth it though
