I've got a 4 footer set up what I've had for the past couple of years. I kind of regret doing it. My first two fish what are still alive (3 years old) are an Angel Fish and a red fin albino shark. I have had a lot of fish and my favorites would be the Spot finned spiny eel, I hand feel it garden worms and the red fin albino shark, they have a funny aggressive personality he is the king of the tank nobody messes with him

same as that but mine has dark red fins.

I literally burst out laughing, I used to have two gold fish. One was Dead black and one was Orange. We called one "Vampire" and the black one "Blacky" Over about 6 months, the strangest thing i've ever seen happened.. Blacky turned into Orangy :|

I got them at st.andrews market

It sounds like you bought yourself an emo fish and it decided it was sick of crying and cutting itself so, it changed its colours .

Seriously though, most black fish will change there colours eventually.

hey madman these are what the females look like the red one is a red halfmoon which is the same tail type like my males and the second one is also a halfmoon tail orange black colour
but there are soo many different colours and there is 6-7 different tail types
as you can see the females dont have big fins like the males and there a tiny bit smaller

you can also get these bettas in giants there 2-3 times bigger

as for mating you cant just get a male and a female an put them together and they will mate theres a bit to do to start them to mate and even when you do it all and you finally put them together to mate you have to watch them an wait for the love making to finnish and quickly remove the female so the male dosnt kill her
oh the male looks after the eggs but you also have to watch out for the male because he has to be with the eggs but some times the male eats the eggs

oh i will breed one of the males but i dont know which one yet and i might breed him with a differnt tail type female

there quick breeders i can get them to breed in a few days and the eggs hatch in 24-36 hours

so stay tuned cause i will sell them if anyone is interested for half the price and the good thing is you dont have to go threw all the hassle and price of importing like me
