Yep, popped my rear 12" one.

What's a good AFFORDABLE tyre?

I found a $30 one on ebay. 12" High Quality Rear Knobby Tyre - Dirt Bikes is what it is. Is it a cheap shit one though?

Also, I THINK this oil might be causing my bros Pitpro to not idle properly. Sometimes you can hear it wanting to conk out when revving it and it but it's fine when riding it along.

The oil I'm using is 'Shell advance SX 4 stroke synthetic fortified motorcycle oil 1litre 15W-50'

Thanks.

Hey mate, dont bother buying tyres off ebay, just pop into your local motor bike shop and they will sort you out with a decent offordable tyre, And with your brothers pitpro you should be running minerial oil, the sound you are hearing is the clutch slipping because of the synthetic oil, goodluck. cheers.

well theres really no such thing as quality on ebay. so you may want to spend a little more and goe to a motorbike shop. a quality tyre will last a long time as long as you don't smoke them up.

you should never use fully sythetic oil in mini bikes

as for the tyre

cheap ain't my thing when it come to tyres

With the oil, how exactly can I get it out now? Should I just leave it in there until it's run out and how much do you think a decent tyre will set me back?

if its a four stroke just undo the sump plug and drain it out, then fill it back up with the proper stuff.

Isn't because of the clutch you can't uses synthetic oil stunt101

Yeh man, Run minerial and the sound will go.. but not completely, Usually if you have run the bike in on synthetic it will be a rattly poo machine, lol but put minerial in and 50% of the noise will go

Hey guys where abouts is the thing so I can drain the oil?

Its on the bottom of the engine case, just undo to plug and take out your dip stik and leave it for a few minutes, use motul 1000 from your local bike shop about 10 bucks a oil change.

Is that mineral oil and can you get it from the petrol station? I need one that you can get from the servo cause the bike shops aren't very close to me.

Edit: I still can't find the plug so I can drain the oil. I looked on the bottom of the engine, bottom of the engine case and sides. Do I have to take the engine case off?

Its near the brake pedal on the bottom of the engine. You should have a hole in your bash plate and the bolt will be above the hole (the oil will drain thru the hole when you remove the plug). You wont get the oil from the servo unless its a very good one. Supercheap or a decent auto shop will have motorcycle oil if you cant get a mineral oil a semi synthetic oil should be ok.

buy hi grade gpi with the spd hier then 6.7 so it runs like a killer an wont get hurt u buy 1 leater 200 bucks mate

Hey Doza, ESD have 12x3 Kenda Carlsbad tyres for about $55. They're good. My grandson has Kendas on his KX65 race bike and gets pretty good life out of them considering how hard the thing gets ridden.

Yeah thats right most of us around the ESD camp love our Kenda's except for Mudgee he uses Bridgestones but they're expensive...
Cheers

Well we got the bike fixed on the weekend. It just needed a new tyre tube. We also got Castrol Activ4T mineral oil for it. All better now :)

Thanks guys.
