Hi all, first post, first dirt bike or mini bike pit bike etc. I actually got it for my daughter thinking, and was told, it was an 80 turns out it's a chinese or asian made pit bike. That's all I know because the VIN starts with L and it has a lifan 125 cc on it. I need some help on what wires the kill switch should hook into as they are just cut, you had to try to let the bike idle to kill it, it wouldn't idle, like it was set low on purpose. I need to order a new rim for the back or maybe try a spoke kit, this one has several broke or bent. I also need to buy a clutch handle as the one on it is broke off. Gas tank leaks and cap was cut off, some other odds and ends. The worst of it is the back frame I guess somebody broke it then stuck in some solid rod pieces to fill in but honestly there's no real way to mount the rear seat of plastics, except for like it was, tied on LOL. Here's some pics after I got it home and tore it down...

top right in that pic goes to a ground on frame, bottom 2 go right to the ones coming out of the motor the other 2 go to the coil, where should my kill switch hook into?



thinking about getting a new carb not sure what size this one is.

I guess somebody ground down the cooling fins to make room for it but it looked like it had room to me before I pulled it off.


also the little bracket that hangs down barely seen in first pic has a broken stud or something is this where my chain tensioner wheel or bracket should be?









It was fairly complete when I got it, just had the back wheel off, I got the long bolt for it, the spacers and l shaped pieces as well as the chain. I may have to buy another chain for it, the master link top and keeper is gone. It runs but not the best, mostly because of it not idling and the kill switch not being hooked up I'm sure has alot to do with it.
 
I spy a inner rotor kit cdi on the frame, thats where half the problems would be originating from i reckon, they have notoriously bad reliability... turf that for a oem stator and loom, which will have the appropriate plugs for your kill switch as well, give the carby a good clean, replace the pilot jet with a 20 (from memory the stock is 15 or 18, been a long day at work sorry) and do the valve clearances and it should be pretty good. It will also idle poorly if at all with no filter on the carby, should have an oiled foam filter, like a unifilter or tb filter on it..

ok, I have an extra cdi and I guess pickup coil but the other cdi box looks the exact same as what I have now.

I'll have to look into a lifan factory setup for stator like you said if I can find one, and then check into the carb jet.
