looking at getting my first minibike, would like some advice on what to get, my budget is around 1500 nz so i can get a thumpstar 90 for that but i dunno if thats good or this bike i found SPV125pro modified 2007 for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand its local but i have no idea what it is, if someone could search trade me (which is the site in that link above for the SPV bike) for me and give me some advice that would much appreciated coz i really have no idea what i'm buying !?

also there atomik nitrous 140 on Trade Me – New Zealand online auctions and classifieds. Browse, buy and sell online on trademe.co.nz for 1400, say 1500 shipped is that good bike?

that looks like a mean bike, but i dont think i can get them in NZ just had a quick look so limited to what we can get here

Chances are that if Ken will ship around OZ, he'll ship to NZ. Shoot him an email or phone call and see how you go.

The nitrous aren't all that bad as long as you look after them........(Dons Flame Suit)
BUT as said many times in here their aftersales and warranty service aint crash hot to put it nicely.

Also 1400 is VERY steep for an Atomik of ANY variety, NZ coin or any.

yer turner the DHZ are good bikes and Give Ken a ring he'll help you out just go onto the DHZ website

sweet thanks guys will do, the 160 is getting outta my price range at 1900nz plus shipping and the 140 and 125 are pretty close in price at 1350nz so would be more keen on one of those two, see they use two different brands of engines ? will get a shipping quote anyways might not be worth it, thanks for the advice guys really appreciated

yer the 140 and 125 are still good bikes and yes shiping might be a fair bit so just check it out first

Ever thought about buying a Honda CRF50?haha

Last longer than ANY of those Pitbikes! Just depends on if you like the smaller size and also what your planning on doing such as jumping or later on racing? But I would recommend one for sure ;)

nah no ebay man, crf50 crossed my mind but never really checked it out, i may go that way now you mention it, how much power do they have standard? is whats a big bore 70cc kit cost ?

that first link you provided is actually not a bad bike, just a shame its a little expensive.
try checking it out in person and wave $1000 in front of them..never know they may just take it..
and it definitely sounds like its had some good mods done to it

but yeah it seems your limited to what bikes are available to you over there..
and definitely stay away from an atomik bike, its bad enough you dont have many places to buy these bikes but if you bought an atomik and needed warranty then your screwed even more...

if you know of some NZ store links, post em up so we can have a look

wow, this is looking to be very difficult... and those shops sell rubbish .

gotta remember too that your going to have brands that we've never heard of..

is there a NZ forum you could get on to find out?

i still think that first one isnt too bad.... lol over here its worth about 600-700... but the main reason i said it wasnt too bad was because the owner has invested alot of time and money into already..

yeah i know you guys are lucky, maybe the first one is the go,what about the rhino ? is that a no ? good point maybe a nz pit bike forum is the way

this is too hard for me I give up lol, I did write a big post about some of the bikes they sell over there but had to delete it cuz your currency and everything is BS.

I think you should try compare a DHZ with whatever you're going to buy, DHZ over here sell the best low budget bikes with the basics you need to begin with and are easily converted into a decent bike.

for 1500 (aud) you should be aiming for something with GPX, fastace or DNM suspension, a solid swingarm and a twin tube cradle frame, 140 YX or Zongshen motor.

btw can you take apart a c02 powered pistol and send it over here... pretty please

yea that looks good, much better than the brand news I've seen so far on NZ sites.
u might wanna lower the forks in the clamps a bit, the front looks way too high
