Hi,

I'm pretty much new to motorbikes altogether. I have one exam left (tomorrow) and I have 8 weeks holidays before I start year 12.

I want to get a pitbike but I don't want to spend a huge amount. I have read alot of threads and I keep seeing MSO and a few others mainly.

I got a quote for a MSO 140S which is $1375 inc p/h

What would be recommend for a newbie. I can spend around $1600 atm can save up more but thats a little high.

Cheers,
Nathan

ey mate i got a dhz 140 off ebay for my first bike and its great,,you can get them pretty cheap off ebay i got mine for $600

600 wow i payed 840 a month ago and i thort that was cheap good work mate and yeh i got a dhz and they are great bikes

Do you really want a pit bike mate?

I mean, for 1.6 you can get yourself a seccond hand 2 stroke 65 or 80 and you'll have less problems, and they'll be much faster then any pit bike for that price.

That's what i'd do, but the dhz bikes are nice and the price tag isn't large either

Ok, Well I might go with the DHZ to start off with because it is a bit cheaper. I will let you guys know how it goes with the bid and the bike if I win it!

I may think about going with MSO later on once I am more comfortable with riding. I have been talking to Linda and she has been friendly and helpful so I am happy to go back to them to buy a bike.

Thanks for your help with choosing a bike, really appreciate it!

hey mate,, the mso 140s is a great bike but i wouldnt bother getting an mso after the dhz 140,, my brother has the mso 140s,, just has better suspention and his has a 26mm carby and mines a 30mm carby,, u could easy upgraded the dhz with a DNM rear shock and Fast Ace front suspention and will still end up cheaper then the mso and ur bike will be pretty much the same,, or even better.. good luck mate :)

Ok, thanks for all the input guys!

I'm not 100% sure on what to get, its down to:
dhz 140
140xr
and going to have a look at local bike shop for CRF50..

atm, thats the list

Cheers,
Nathan

sounds like a good plan mate but the crf50 will be atleast 1500 but they are sweet little rides and look bloody cool

who cares what they look like, after youve spent however much on a CRF you will still have to get atleast a bar kit, stiffer springs, and probs a 88 kit cos the 50 is to slow

id go wit maylands mate great customer service alot of people have said and sounds like a great guy
