New Spark Plug + Checked Fuel line from top of carby (Fuel is running through fine, and is clean)

Still not starting.

Electric start with the smallest amount of throttle and it starts to splutter, but doesnt turn over.

Tried with Choke on/off. Air Breather is off. Not kick starting.

What the hell is wrong with it lol.

problem might be solved, he was running BP ultimate fuel

1.1litres of oil and your chain looks real fuggin loose in that picture.

Check the spark, remove the plug, connect it to the coil and put a screwdriver right next to it and kick over and look to see if it is sparking. If it ain't sparking i'm guessing loose connection hopefully, check them all. Then try CDI and coil and hopefully your stator isn't crook.

You shouldn't have bought a ********* Orion, you'll get endless problems.

Mate, Its a ducar engine not some pricely Lifan big valve ****, You cant run high octane fuel in them, simple

Dude, I've seen people put Optymax in a Atomik/orion heaps of times, After awhile it just wont start, Simple, need to flush it out..

Mate, I'm afraid its not as simple as that. In fact, it's other way 'round. Using higher octane fuel for a low comp (or Ducar or whatever) engine is nothing but an added cost as you will not be using the potential of the octane. Nevertheless, by all means you can use it.

Also, try shaving off the head of your so-called non-pricey Ducar to raise compression, then you'll definitely need what fuel the pricey Lifan needs, if indeed it actually needs it. If it does, its definitely not because of the bigger valves.

Another fact, use low octane fuel on a high compression engine and it WILL fire up. You naturally would not want to do that due to detonation though but the point is, it will start.

Blink, this is remote but I wanna share it as I've began entertaining the fact that the problem is not at all related to the oil change.

This has happened to a friends bike and might be worth a try to check. The valves may not be functioning properly and in this case, we found one of the adjustment screws missing. It was obviously left loose in the factory and that, no matter how much you try, after several sore knees from kickstarting, it wont run.

Open up the valve adjuster caps. One is on top, one at the bottom of that. It's that big shiny round cap with a 17mm hex head. Just check if you see a square bolt with a nut around it. My friends has gone missing.

Ok, Have changed the fuel now, and hasnt changed a thing.

Ok, the bike is starting though, but will only start at around 1/4-1/2 rev's on electric start, but is very rough/spluttering/running rich, once you rev it any less/more than the starting rev's the bike will just die. Kick start isnt starting at all.

Will have a look at everything else suggested today/tomorrow but if its not working might take it back to the shop and see what they can do, or if they have any idea.

Thanks for everyone's help so far though

yeh i could start it with the kickstart, you were too busy on here asking questions to realise what i was doing :p

it must be something to do with fuel delivery or cam timing, otherwise it wouldnt actually run...

may aswell just sell it man, go and buy a carport :D

my offer- $50 and/or a carton ;)

Have you removed the chrome valve adjuster caps on the top and bottom of the head yet and checked that the valve adjusters are both cool??????????? Can prety much garuntee that your problem!

regards,
Horde.

Sorry but i cant beleive you have been through all this and then you say your gunna take it back to the shop thats the first thing i would have done. i thought you must have bought it on ebay and didnt have that option. i just bought a 70 the same colour even and mine was starving for fuel through the breather same as someone else said. my guess and its only a GUESS that may have been your problem originally also but you have done some thing else while trying to fix it. good luck

I work a lot man, so the only time I can check up on the bike is usual after hours, or on the weekend.

When the shop hasnt been open lol

yeah thats a bummer, im working right now, night shift. thats why ive been in these forums every night. so its about a week since you first posted im curious to know how you went. have you got it going yet and if so what was the problem.let us know
cheers motodad

Took it there to have a look at it,
Was an issue in regard to the Cam Cover/Case basically a part was meant to be on in some exact position, but it wasnt. So fixed that up, made sure it was tight on, bike started.

Hopefully theres no more issues for a while haha

haha if its got wheels or tits its gunna give you issues

sorry any girls reading this i just could'nt resist
good to see you got it going sounded like the cam chain tensioner was loose and maybe jumped a tooth and put the timing out
