Oil coolers

What are the benitfits of oil coolers? Yes they are a cooler but is there any advantages of having them?

cooler oil temperature, longer ring life cooler engine after prolonged high rpm

Yeh that's what I was thinking. Been thinking of putting one in my 88 mod. Spoken to a few people about it and have got a really mixed response

you probably dont need one on that tbh..
id run one but can only imagine the oil temps with how much they ride the clutch etc on them however im very critical when it comes to setting things up like that

I'm abit like yourself. The cooler the oil the less chance the clutch will slip and the less wear on the engine

Waste of time on 88 mod unless you really thrash the thing and are running a full Taki motor or something highly strung like it
