oil filter for Z160HO

Does anybody know what oil filter would fit the Z160HO- besides the overpriced ones from DHZ?
For example maybe a Honda filter.
Anyone done this exercise yet?
Meiwa filters for Jap dirtbikes retail for around $8-$12
DHZ Z160HO filters Retail for $30????

I thought you of all people should know this :b_grind:

From memory they are the same as a crf450 filter. Generic filters from honda dealers are around $9ea

I'll suss the CRF filter against the Z160HO filter once I receive the 2 I've ordered from DHZ.
I'll post the result as soon as I know, - (hopefully tomorrow)

just checked the DHZ Z160HO Oilfilter element against a CRF450 Oilfilter.
They are not the same.
The CRF filter is much smaller in diameter, and endcap shape is slightly different.
I guess I'll have to keep checking against other filters as I get them in.
Once I know what matches (probably a Honda of some description) I'll post the result.

There have been a few threads now that compare them to a crf450 filter but obv was not the correct info.

I spun the nipple on the cover to accept a washable metal YX/Honda/Tak filter, on one of mine. I stick a round magnet over the bypass port, too, for extra catching power.

DR-Z400 Emgo 10-55510 works, if you remove the rubber and add a small o-ring over the nipple. $3 or less

picked one up from suzuki today for $12 part # 16510-05240 it's exactly the same

TEN HiFlo Oil Filter Hyosung 125 250 Suzuki SP125 LT125 - eBay (item 160540316760 end time Mar-03-11 11:44:10 PST)

10 of em for $50 delivered from the usa, more than half of that is postage. lol.

I just checked the Suzuki filter you suggest and YES it is exactly the same!

In "Meiwa" brand it is a S3003 (Suzuki DR100/125,SP100/125,GN125 plus a few others.)
It also fits the Loncin 250 Motor (Puzey/Motovert XTR250)

Just checked the suzuki filter against the Z160HO & YES it is exactly the same,GOOD WORK!!
In a "Meiwa"brand filter it is a S3003(Suzuki DR100/125 SP100/125 GN125 as well a few others)
It also fits the Loncin Motor in the Puzey?Motovert XTR250

yeah i think its the other daytona style engines (yx150-dte and lifan 150) that use the crf type oil filter.
and from memory it was a crf250 but i could be wrong as i have never changed one over..

lol the other yx150. the one with the daytona style clutch cover..
you need an external filter to go on the others
