oil from breather pipe

Hello peeps
this is slightly off topic I have bought a 1987 KLR 250 to scratch around on and it has just thrown all of its oil out of the breather pipe does any body have any ideas as to what the probable cause maybe

Sounds like blowback or blowby, were the compression is getting past the rings and building up pressure in the crankcase causing it to blow out the breather, but dont just take my word for it, but if it is a new piston and rings may be in the works.
 
blown head gasket can cause it too..

no option but to start pulling it apart and inspect closely..
