I HAVE TAKEN THE AGB-38 APOLLO, ATOMIK 250 ( WHATEVER YOU WONT TO BADGE IT) BUT IT IS MADE IN THE APOLLO FACTORY THAT PRODUCES ORION. WELL THE TEST RIDE ? SPENT ABOUT 6 HOURS RIDDING ON HARD GROUND ( IT WENT QUITE WELL ,GOOD POWER,HANDLING, BRAKES ,THE ONLY PROBLEM ( SO FAR) I HAD WAS THE REAR MUD FLAP IT,S HARD PLASTIC AND WHEN THE REAR WHEEL TRAVELS UP ON HARD GROUND ( I HAD THE SHOCK SET PRETTY SOFT) ANYWAY THE WHEEL HIT THE REAR MUD FLAP AND RIPPED IT OFF. ( IT,S ATTACHED TO THE FILTER BOX) I TAPED IT UP WITH DUCK TAPE. I PAID $ 1620 AUS TO BE PUT TOGEATER AND SIX MONTHS WARRANTY. I AM IMPRESSED ( JUST CUT OFF THE REAR MUD FLAP)I AM GOING AWAY FOUR FOUR DAYS RIDDING THIS WEEK WHERE I WILL FINISH RUNNING IT IN.BY THE WAY IF YOU WONT AN A WEB SITE THAT GIVES YOU PART NUMBERS,PRICES ( PHOTOS) OF ALOT OF CHINA BIKES.( I,V READ ALOT OF REVIEWS OFF NOT BEING ABLE TO FIND SUCH SITES) HERE IS ONE, IT,S US. http://www.roketa.com/product/1/0/49922.shtml.I WILL GET BACK TO YOU ON HOW THE AGB-38 GOES AFTER THE FOUR DAYS

Dongs back, ATOMIK ORION AGB-38 250 AIR COOLED
i have just got back from 4 days of ridding, fishing having a few beers ( the ride ) the agb-38 has a few problems. After a capple of days ridding ( both my mate, gordo and myself have the same bike )well i will be stright to the point, the rear shock is crap, gordo weights about 100 kg he adjusted it to be quite hard. On the way down a hill ( a little step) the plate that holds the spring in place at the bottom of the spring came off ( there was a few rutes only) the the shock jammmed them snaped.( mine hasent done it yeat but you cannot go over even little rises in the ground if the bike gets say any more them about 1 foot of the ground it bottoms out.( joe in wodonga vic is a top block who sold them to us and is going to the atomik importer in melbourne to get better rear shock for both bikes.( i will let this blog know the outcome and what type of shock is required)also the cluch lever bracket on both bikes brock ( mine fell of the stand in the grass) so we replaced with cr125 brackets and levers. $ 22.00 each. All up if you place a good shock on the rear and replace the gear level they are a good bike for the money. Exelent brackes, motor, wheels, frame, plastics ( so far the front forks seem good. If you buy one take of the rear shock guard replace the shock and replace the cluch lever end bracket when they brack.( take a spare ridding) use gastrol 4t oil
( drain out the crap oil the bike comes with).

sorry...but I don`t think anybody really cares:D

" Dongs back" just a short message to let you know that I went to clean the air filter on the atomik AGB-38 250,it is in a ### spot to get to, you need to take off the seat both side coves and partly unbolt the filter/battery box. it has a pretty crap top cover with some sponge between two plastic garse plates ( inside is a hard filter that you blow out ( like a car filter) The clamp around the carbie is crap. ( there is also four little screws between the box and the rubber carb mount. they are very hard to get to ( the two at the rear) overall the filter box is a bad design,( well at least they are putting them on know I suppose)

Atomiki 250 PRO-X AGB-38

OK
Heres the facts My mate and I brought one of these each.
We have had the bikes for about 1 month we paid $ 1620.00 each from our local china dealer this came assembled ans 6 months warrantty.

I have been ridding bike bikes since I was 12 years old. ( 41 now) so I know a little about bikes ( both dirt and road) I am not saying I am an expert, Just been around.

First ride
1. After one days ridding or about 6 hrs ( the rear white plastic shock protector got hit by the rear wheel and ripped it out of the filter box) as this is what it is attached to. ( this was just going over rought ground with some rutes etc)

Second ride
2. ( a four day trip ) DAY 1
Day one x 2 broken clurch levers and mounts( that the clurch is on) my bike fell of the stand onto SOFT grass. My mate came off ( but the bike landed on the other side so not sure how it all brock.
repalced with honda CR 125 items

3. DAY 2

Mate,s rear shock ( the bottom plate on the base of the spring came off, throw my mate off and the rear shock SNAPPED. This was coming bown a hill here was some rutes in the track.( this was not caused by jumping) My mate is a new rider and at this stage is not game to jump anyway. So that was my mates bike out of action after 2 days ridding.

DAY 3 I hardened the rear shock up on my AGB-38 ( but this did little) anyhigher then about a foot of the ground and it bottoms out. So I rode around for a few hour this day with no problems.

DAY 4 Service the main problem is the filter box is a CRAP design hard to get out and is similer to a car filter that you blow out. And does not seal propley.( a bit of dust in the carbie.

( bad points)
1. Rear shock needs to be replaced as is CRAP.
2. Rear shock protecter taken off ( or replaced by softer rubber)
3. replace cluch mount and lever with Jap CR 125 or other. ( after they brack of course)
4. I am looking into replacing the filter box with ( not sure somthing Jap)
5. ( AT THIS STAGE)

( GOOD POINTS)
1. Good value for money
2. Good engine runs well
3. Good wheels, brackes, frame plastics nice size fuel tank ( 8 LT)
4. At this stage the front shocks seem good.

AVERALL

The AGB-38 handles well goes strong but is let down by the rear shock ( big time) and the filter and box plus the other points I talked about.

Regards

Dong

I have also place this info on miniriders blog

From Wodonga Vic BOS MOTORCROSS "Joes" I will have to get back to you with the name ? but he gives exelent service and goes to the Atomik factory every monday and picks up parts and bikes for peaple.( he has been doing this for about 5yrs now so he has a very good understandinging of most china bikes.

I done a bit of research today for the Atomik AGB-38 250 , I am going to remove the filter box ( or cut into it ,as the battary also sits next to it on the right hand side) as dust in getting in through the crap car like paper filter I am going to replace it with a UNI-Filter for about $30.00 from a filter place in Albury NSW. ( This is so I can replace the rear shock with a Damper so as it will fit ) as the filter box may be in the way.

Atomiki 250 agb-38

The DONG
well I did the mod on the filter box,

1. I brought a uni-filter for $16.00 ( plus filter oil for $ 6.00)

2. I then took the seat, side covers off ( and cut off the filter box ) to get rid of the crap paper car like filter.

3. I left the battery side of the box and used a yamaha battery strap to make sure it wasent going to move ( there was a few little mods I had to make) the strap came from my Yamaha XJ 900 Divi a spare.

4. I went to suppercheap and got some flexable pipe ( placed one end over cab and other for uni-filter.and capple of metel straps ( $ 22.00)

5. So all for under $ 50.00

6. Next I will be changing the rear shock then it will be quite a good bike for the money.
( will keep you posted am going away for work for a capple of weeks )

Dong,s update
I,m back been away with work. My mates Atomki AGB-38 250 is in the process of getting his rear shock replaced. ( as I said in a earier blog) Turns out there has been a faulty batch of shocks on this model. we will be taking it out next weekend to test. If it does the job I will be getting mine replaced as well. ( the 6 months warranrty is paying off) If the shock is still crap, I,m looking into a KTM rear shock from a wreckers. ( keep you posted

HAAHAAAH nice way to run the motor in...

Done some inspecting on the Atomoki AGB-38 250 of wheel bearing and steering head bearings today. They do not have ( or very little greese on them) The front wheel comes off very easy'and it,s also easy to get to the steering head and rear wheel wheel beering as well. ( another few good points for the AGB-38.
KEEP YOU POSTED.
