Orion frame question

hey guys,

might have the chance to get my hands on an Orion frame. are these any good? its a cradle type frame, looks to be made of square tube. is it steel, chromollly or aluminium?

are the heavy? just dont like the design of my chinese frame with no cradle as i crake and engine case already cus the pegs mount on the engine..

I have heard good things about these frames.. There is a person on here that used one for fmx.. Seemed to work a treat.

Don't do it. Most likly be 3-5mm thin. You just can't see from the photos. I know the old atomik frames are really thin. Plus orion don't have great build quailty for anything.

im mainly after a cradle frame.. but wat u reckon? like im guessing ill be paying very little for it..

They are heavy and not so great,
Try a alloy BBR copy one like the build I am doing here, you will encounter a few problems however I would presume they would be the same with this orion frame.

There is a BBR copy frame in the classifieds at the moment, I think the seller is maslin.

comes down to what your using it for..

but i too have seen good things but heard bad.

seen a vertical 250cc model one used for fmx and lasted ages.. actually the bike itself is fine but the front wheel soon folded..

Yeah it could be from Atomik but a few different sellers sold them under different names. They are all an AGB-29 made by Apollo in China.
