Does anyone know what size the piston is for a 49cc engine is it 40mm or 44mm??

a 44mm dia. piston is for a 49cc engine. a 40mm piston is for the 39cc engine.

ive got a honda xr50 and the piston diameter is 39mm!! look on the honda website for a crf50 and check the specs cause the chances are that all 49cc engines from a mini 4 stroke have the same dimentions!!

unless you run one of those bikes with whipper snipper engines on them. in that case i would not have a clue.

Yes a 49cc Honda motor is 39mm STD bore and most China copies i have seen are the same, most even have the same piston as a XR/CRF50 the rings will also be interchangable with most models but there are 3 dif. ring sets avialable at 39mm - 40.5mm thicknesses being the difference (Engine parts is what i do)
