Help.
My 110cc pit bike it over revving.
I have recentlty cleaned out the carb.
I don't know why it is over revving.

When I start the bike, it is over revving so much that the bike starts smoking and when I hit the kill switch it takes about 30-90 seconds to turn off.

What should I do to fix this?

did ya move the idle screw at all? did ya put it all back togther properly? cold even be something to do with the trottle cable maybe its stuck open abit,

Is the idle screw the one on the carb with a spring on it. If so, yes I did move it.
I put the carb back together the same way I took it to parts.

If the trottle is stuck, how do I fix that?
What do I do with the idle screw?

turn off ur choke.
make sure the carby piston is not stuck so far up its cylinder.

How can I tell it the float is around the right way?
Yeah, I did mess around with the air/fuel and idle speed screws

idle screw at 1.5 turns out and air fuel screw at 2.5 turns out.
The bike it still over revving. Not as bad as it was.

Tried idle screw 1.5 turns out and air fuel screw 2.5 turns out.
It is still over revving. Very high. But not as bad as before.

unscrew the top of the carby and pull the piston thing out then twist it 180 degrees and put it back in .... mite be it..

or check your throttle cable! from the carby to the accelerator mine use to open when i turned the hangers (was to short) so check that first!
