Hi guys, new to this forum, and new to quads.

Looking for some advice, I've got given a mini quad for my boy, initially I was told all I need to do is replace the pull cord, which I have done.

After investigation, its looks like I will require a clip, I'm struggling to find out what it is called.

I have a picture of the suspect, basically this is behind where the pull start enclosure, and I guess this is the bit that spins to start the thing.

Any help would be highly appreciated, many thanks

That part behind the pullstart is the flywheel. Dont worry bout the clip, just order a new flywheel and pullstart off ebay. Type in 49cc flywheel into ebay.

I already purchased the pulley,

Would it be best to buy a set of the pulley and fly wheel ?

Well the flywheel is missing that one tab under the screw from what i can see?

Those tabs are engaged by the pulley. So the pullstarter may become damaged if this is so.

Thanks for the reply,

I thought initially it was the pulley that was broke, but after replacing the pulley I noticed that this Clip was missing off the flywheel,

Now I have two pulleys that look okay, so I'm thinking just replace the flywheel, I'm just not sure if I need to get a certain one to match my pulley or if they are all the same fixings etc.
