well got my new shift drum and gear set on monday. I took a little bit off the shift drum shaft so its a bit tighter in there now and all is good so far hopefully is stays that way

Update: So I pulled it apart and found second looks fried as suspected. Got some pics for yous

Also while i was pulling it apart noticed the clutch basket could move back and forth i tried to do it up to check if it was loose but i couldn't get if any tighter. not sure it this means anything just an observation.

So i'll be ordering a new gear set and gasket kit from DHZ is there anything else I should get?

and the most important question how do i stop this happening again?

how do your shift forks look... id say they toasted too
