how do i tell when this thing is recording?

press the power on for a couple of seconds, then press the top button until you see a tiny red light come on next to the blues, then it's recording.

don't touch the button on the opposite side to the power button, that is just for sound activated voice recording.

do you have a good micro SD card in it too?
they need at least a class 8 (C8), or a class 10 (C10) would be best, otherwise the videos will be very jittery, slow to pick up motion etc.
i tried viewing my video's by putting my card into my Samsung s2 but it cant view them, incompatible format maybe?

when you hook it up to your computer, do a search and find the tag txt file and click on it.
it will bring up a box on your screen with codes in it.
click on the date and edit it so it shows up correct on the video.

i used an 8G class 4, definately no good for HD videos!
