it's been sitting in the shed collecting dust for 4 and a bit years now, and just had it's first wash.
today it has rego, just need to connect up the brakes and bleed them, fit a bolt to the exhaust, clean out the junk from inside
and i'm going for a drive.

so you dont run personalised plates? thats pretty cool that it came with those letters and numbers in that order!

sort of, they aren't the original plates to the car.
my XR Fairmont came to SA in the early 80's from Canberra, and was given new standard SA plates back them.

but in SA we can buy old standard issue number plates from motor reg, ones that haven't been registered for 5 years or more.
they call them Reissued plates, that was bought in about 15 years ago, and i was lucky enough to get these ones.
you have to buy the rights to use them and transfer them into your name, it is a once off payment of $70 which includes new printed plates (worth $25), plus your standard registration etc


but i still get people asking me if it is an old XT Falcon, lol

i bought reissued plates for that too, RUF100

Thats pretty cool, i didnt know you could do that, be pretty handy, a cheaper way out of getting personal plates. have to tell the old man, although he likes his current plates, but not the colour, lol.

i have a soft spot for the F100's. big, heavy and chew through petrol like no tomorrow! its true when they say they dont make them like they used to !
