This is one of my favourite vids on youtube! Found it years back now....this guy is like the David Attenborough of Graffiti in Australia. Never done that crap myself but those b-boys were hanging out skating and riding BMX back in the day(most of them ended up in jail unlike us 'athletes')!! Its just so funny...this dude earns a mint now too...Just goes to show, if you love what you do, you never really work a day in your life, and I have A LOT of respect for that style of thinking!! :grinning-smiley-003

i'm fixing my uncles XH ute atm, fitting an AU head to it.
he asked me to paint the crusty looking alloy rocker cover for him, so i did
i sanded down the casting burrs, feathered them out, gave it a quick sandblast, etched it, then painted

i reckon he is expecting a silver rocker cover

i think i may get you to do myn when i get the bugger that is..... lol
looks ****hot!!!!!!!!!!

that was just a quick, cheap job.
it took longer to deburr the rocker cover from all of it's casting marks etc than to actually paint it
and even that was only about 20 mins all up.
the paint i used was- $12 for a 400g aerosol tin of Protec Grey Etch Primer.
$10 for the Ford Blueprint Blue in the little Duplicolour spray tin,
and $15 for some VHT Engine enamel clear coat

it used most of the Blue paint, 1 light coat and 3 medium/wet coats
and it only used a little of the etch, and clear paints

i would normally finish it in 2 Pack clear but i had run out.


it looks way better in real life, i'll try and get a better pic during the day with some sun on it.
