yeah Peter Brock was a good driver too.

my old boss had a few crashes in Classic Adelaide, this was his car, i did all the body/mods and paint on it for him

so i had to do another one up for him for the next years race, he got through that one ok.
took about 8 weeks to do starting from an acid dipped bare shell.




but the year after he bent it again...

Unfortunetly classic Adelaide and all the Targa rallies around the nation are conducive of cars wrapping around tree's. Its the laws of averages in those types of races. I remember a certain well known very experienced driver hitting a tree in a car that wasn't a porsche????

Dont talk to me about American cars now, never should have been driving that either....Yeah the last one here was a Lancer, and that corner sucks(triple apex that turns into a double apex that tightens when you hit it over 80km/hr)

People hit trees in Rally thats true however that said a higher portion of bad accidents have been Porsches...dunno why, its just an observation. I rocked upto that Lancer crash just after it had happened too coming home through the hills from a mates place, damn that thing ended up a LONG way from the road and he was only doing about 110km/hr too, the speed limit when I was growing up was 100km/hr on that road.....

I can keep going with reasons all night if you like?

Compare the Porsche to something like a skyline or wrx then. Less power but more fatalities....

Speaking of porsches on fire I. Remember american car maker pontiac had a car callled the fiero a mid engined pos that caught fire quite easily there was even a recall we just ended up calling em fireballs. With all the gm recalls now I'm surprised there's not one fire issue lol if you can't tell was never a big fan of gm.
