Anyone know if you can take out the tube from the block to the head and run oil lines from there?

Trying to put my cooler on triple trees out front Motard style, and trying to work out the best way of running the lines.

Basic line of thought was that if the head is getting the cooler oil direct from cooler it would have to be an advantage.

Thoughts?

yeah im not sure on tht 1, as the oil tube is a direct feed for the cam.
what i do know tho is tht some of the early gpx engines didnt even have that oil tube. it was blanked off on the head and on the block...
so theoretically the cam must get oil from another feed as well...
ill have to have a look now, got me wondering...lol

don't know if it can be done, we don't play with them much at all. but if you can it be a lot better. all the cooler oil over the cam and rockers. as well as the chamber keeping it cooler, there for more power. ill have alook on the net and see what i can find.

might run two oil coolers, smaller one for pipe to head, larger one on tripple trees for the feed off the motor. Can't see how it would hurt... Time will tell

nar won't hurt any think, all our motard bikes have two radiator style coolers, one after another. other wise we cook them. when plumbing them in make sure the hooked up so they hold oil when the bike is turned off so there is not a moment of time where there is no oil

that's a really good idea, and you'd also get oil levels more acurate too.
Might take it and get some proper lines made up.

Do you just use std oil pumps or ?

question, how do you plumb in it so they hold oil when the bikes off??
