or pick up a set of 17/14's and throw them onto the braaap for trail riding if they'll fit ?
that will give your bike around a 2" lift

I might get shot for mentioning this but. Maybe a bigwheel frame? I'm possibly a little tall for the 14/12 bikes too, like you say knees dont like being on the seat to much. That said I smashed my knees up to many times so they like to complain about prolonged bending. The foxico bigwheel frame I have is about perfect for my height. Its still small and relatively light, just as easy to throw around in the tiny backyard here its also WAY more comfortable when I'm sitting down as the bend in my knees is far less....maybe a bigwheel would be a better option then you could pretty much sell the braaap frame use the 190 in that?
i try to tell everyone thats tall on this forum that before they buy a bike.. the Braap should be on the bigger side of stuff maybe its the setup that caused this pain..
And thats why i like my lxr and my pitpro se for the size of the frame..
17/14 rims only change the way the bike feels, not the angle that your legs are bent at unfortunatley so thats why i suggested bar raisers but that would only effect arm angle when sitting but standing it may let your arms be lss streatched so you are not "standing" with you legs at such a awakward angle

17/14 make the bike a bit less precise better over bumps however Feels like a sand bike (to me atleast) and the only time i would use them is if the track is really unbearably rutted..

yeah but a little more ground clearance on trails is always good too.
you could even make up some lower peg mounts to suit if you were that keen...

it'd be a bit like the people that own road/trail bikes, that swap their wheels over when wanting a motard or dirt bike

Yeah I swear there is more length between the seat and the foot pegs on the big wheel but its probably more the TTR seat? Yeah I like Craigs plan of lowering the foot pegs...ill measure when I get home!

it would need some adjusting on the gearshift lever (easy),
and the pedal might have enough adjustment to work by lengthening it at the push rod on the bottom of the master
even 25mm lower would help i'd imagine ?

im not going to modify the braaap much, just keep it for when we move to the mainland, then i join some mini races. :) il save my pennys for a big bike as well

nah, probably moving to queensland as my missus is from there and has family that way. if not it will be south aus as i have family that way. il try to make it to franga one day just to show you what a real bike goes like ;)

Come down for VCM next year if ya can That would be wicked (lol it would be cheaper to come from tas prolly)

Well I better give Adelaide a plug! Cheap and....easy to get anywhere...300km is across the border!

However **** all jobs, extreme cost of living if you like having power and water, no mini racing scene at all.....but besides from that its OK cause Craig lives here....he's probably the only really good part about Adelaide....seriously...oh and me...but I just talk **** with the occasional nugget of truth slipping out...great place in the world to move to....oh and we're far less pretentious than Sydney, Melbourne and especially Queensland(ers)....but hey! Totally understand if there are better places to move to in Aus...I lived in Canberra for a while, dunno how prices are going there for land, but certainly would be my pick if I had that kinda bank roll mate!!! The temperature would be very similar to tassy too....and there are ski lifts close, not just black ice and snow....

So I just measured....my pitpro, top of the 'flat' seat to pedals got 16 inches.

Foxico bigwheel, so 'midsized' twin spar frame top of flat seat to pedal....got 18.5 inches.....

So thats what I got...if mr my67xr can measure his to make sure I didnt balls it...then there is proof there?

Oh and again Tassy Stu...two bikes come in handy :coolthumb:

hahaha pretentiousness is something im really good at dealing with, those type of ppl generally take one look at my rough mug, listen to the many profanities regularly spewing from my mouth, and leave me the **** alone :)
if we ended up in s.a it would be around port pirie area as my entire family live there (that ive met maybe 3 times in my life, grew up in foster care ;) ) but i have no idea where we will end up

Country SA is a whole different deal to any city! Heaps of riding out that way in SA too...land isnt that bad around there, unless you want to grow wheat! But yeah read the other one about the seat to peg distance on the mid sized frame!!!

i cant convert my bike to any bigger wheels than it already has, and tbh the amount of troble i have had moving high end parts i doubt very much i could sell the rolling braaap frame for what its worth. im really thinking hard about one of the china 250's there are a couple of really good ones for around 3500/4000

theres always the Atomik comp 250, with fastace suspension, watercooled 4v engine. there is one for sale (used) on ebay atm, $1400 he wanted for it, which isnt bad..

i really want to buy one new tbh blender. im yet to have my own brand new bike lol. i have been weighing up between the atomik and the crossfire, leaning towards the crossfire just because of its spec sheet.... it really does seem to be the best china 250 on the market atm...

yea fair enough, you never know whats happened with a used bike..

crossfire i would say are the bast chinese 250's, but there is always the Odes 250's and 450's!
