Snaptrax's 05 Yz250 Smoker

Hey guys

I was going to post a thread about my new bike when i got it. But after thinking about it i have no idea how to ride a 2 stroke so i decided against that idea.

Anyway this is my new bike(This is the closest thing to a girlfriend il get) a 2005 Yz250.
You would never think that it is an 05 but boy is it clean.

I brought it off of a guy nearly 5 hours away and he was nice enough to bring it halfway for me.

He had it advertised for 3700 and after some talking and what not i got him down to 3000.

Went and picked it up and my jaw dropped when i saw it. Far out i love the look of it.
Had leaking fork seals when i got it. But no biggie.

Had a complete motor rebuild only 3 hours before i got it.( now has 11)

Anyway first ride thoughts.

HOLY MOLY FAR OUT. Please excuse me while i lift the front wheel when you hit powerband.
It has taken a lot of getting used to going from a 290 4 stroke to this.

But now that i have ridden it for a few hours i love it. Tractors out of corners, Tap the clutch and give it a bit and the rear wheel lights up everywhere.

Im not gonna lie i wet myself a bit hitting band on the lip of a jump and the front end shooting up.

So easy to throw around in the air too, much nicer then my old Yz.

Best part is this bike cost me $100 as i sold my 04 Yz290f for $2900

I live about 10mins from Ridepark.
Yep its an amazing bike i couldnt believe it when i saw it also has a FmF Gnarly and shorty 2 pipe.

3k thats a steal.. See what i mean how they put power to the ground? I think its got to do with the harmonics etc but it certainly is more likely to hook up than another same power 4t.

Cant wait till i can get a 2t myself again.

the 2 smokes cant get me moving untill i get into band so i gotta live there

although the 300's are ok

Coolie if you can beat me on a little 90cc against my 160cc. I think you can ride a 250 2 smoker.
