I sold my Atomik 140 and Myself a DZHZ DPro 140.

Its a great bike very well built ect, I put it together tonight, One think, I changed and drained the shipping oil and put new oil in it I put fuel in it and well I cant get it to start, It kicks over and farts a bit but just will not fire up and run, I know it is a brand new tight motor, but it will not start help please

It could be meny things.... have you got a spark is there fuel going in is the timing right.

Start with your fuel. Is it on?

Turn your fuel off.

If unsure, disconnect the fuel line from the tank where it attaches to the carby. Turn the fuel on and fuel should flow from this hose. If it doesnt keep turning the tap on the tank until fuel does flow through.

If you have fuel flowing from the tank to the carb. Make sure there isnt a blockage where the line goes into the carb. A large wooden skewer can help with this or a piece of thin wire.

After you are sure all is well here. Check for spark. If you have spark you should be able to start the bike. Fuel, air, spark = start. Well, most of the time anyway.

Check the above and let us know how you go.

logic

yep as logic has said above with the addition of turning the idle screw up about 1/2 or so turn.. also make sure your kicking it good, they dont like slow kicks for the initial first start up

Thanks for the help, Still no luck getting it going, It has spark, I ever tried a different spark plug, and its getting fuel, It may even be getting too much fuel cause a small amount of fuel is running out of the drain hose at the bottom of the carbie.

This is starting to give me the Sh_ts its a brand new bike, My old bike had a 26mm molkt and it started firtst time every time.

Are engines fitted with 30mm Mikuni Carbie hard to start in general ?

Thanks for the help guys. off to kick again

no there generally there easy to start once the initial start has been done..

you may have flooded it so hold the throttle flat stick and kick it hard, as soon as it fires quickly release the throttle to a steady idle. not all the way tho cause it may stall..

Valves too? I'm not sure if Ken does the valves before shipping bikes... Might just be unlucky and find they are out ;)

Roll starting probably won't hurt? At least the engine will get a sustained turn; if it's gonna start at all, that should start it.

i found that with that carb on my dpro160 as i kicked it at the same time i had to go full throttle or it wouldn't go then once its goes you just let the throttle go back to idle.

Similar to what sean said i guess

Hay everyone,

My partner is extreamly good at motorboike riding and wants to get into racing mini bikes, does anyone know who we can contact in vic to get him into it? or a website with info?

I got the new girl started. Thanks for all the help. In the end after many kicks it started with 1/4 throttle and the choke off.

I am looking forward to the running in process and getting the beast out in the bush
