Stator/Magneto Q ?

is your flywheel the same a in the DHZ link?
if so, turn it so that one of the bigger holes in the side of it is close on 7 o'clock.
then shine a torch into it and look for the 2x yellow wires where they are soldered onto the coil winding.
if you have them there, then you may just need a flywheel puller, take the flywheel off.
then take the windings off the backing plate and solder 2x wires to the 2x cut off yellow ones

but i have a feeling that you have a stator like this one,

hang on 67xr i have to get a puller to get the bloody thing off ,that looks like mine just from the plugs/wires same as mine it should be,
and where would i have to solder the wires? (if that one is mine)

I have seen the YX 160 run the same rotor magneto that the Lifan 140 runs and it is a 8pole I think, I have only ever seen the magneto pictured on 50cc-138cc, and also a 150cc shineray motors. I don't think the 160 will be running that style it should be a 6 or 8 pole, but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong lol.

Should be either one of these I reckon.

yer it looks like my67xr's one pic but i got my regulator that i needed now i just have to get the puller to get it off hopefully theres the 2 wires i need

how wide is the spacing of the 2x spare posts in your stator?
i may have a spare lighting coil that you can fit to it. cover post and it's yours if it fits.

nah with the flywheel, where it sits over the source and lighting coils, is it around 85mm?

Im a lil confused to, so the current stator you have is the same as the pic in post #21, but you want to change it to the stator and magneto in the dhz link? May sound silly but i just wanna confirm which stator your chasing dude.

if that is the same as your flywheel, then i'm sure i have a lighting coil that you can add on to your current stator plate
it's just a matter of screwing it on, and running the 2x wires up to the regulator

you can have the lightin coil for free if it fits,
i'm still waiting on the measurement for your stators' backing plate, the coil mounting width though?

i'm pretty sure an express post bag costs a touch under $10, it's just whether the coil is within their weight range, otherwise it'll be $13.85 iirc?

i'll do a bit more research when i get a chance today.
now can you see why i needed specific measurements and details ? lol
i'm sure i can suss it out for you !
