So I busted my ankle yesterday on CJPW's scooter. On crutches today and just thinking what else is possibly stupider that busting your ankle playing on your mates 7 yo sons scooter(trying to be a hero doing tail whips)....going to the doctor tomorrow for the damage report, I dont have a lot of faith in a super positive outcome, something is broken ive been here enough to know if it wasnt Id be walking on it...wifey is pissed and 8 months pregnant....

Thinking when I was young on my bmx if I held on to a tow rope tied to my mates paddock bomb I would get enough speed to clear my mates damb let's just say I was very cold and wet and had sore balls and dont even ask how long it took to find my bike in the middle of the muddy ass damb lol

forgetting to take the shed keys out of my pocket while going on the first test ride of my 190 lxr.
losing them and then having to retrace the 10km ride i did at 7 at night holding a led torch and trying to clutch at the same time.

Bloody hell Stu thats no good! I did LOL a bit (sorry) when I pictured a lanky guy trying to do tailwhips on a kids scooter!

Yeah I think Ford Craig must laugh on the inside...either codine is working on me better than it used to...or its not quite as bad as I initially thought! Xray in a couple of hours...

Also I do realise this is probably karma for whinging so much bout the ride day....

LOL LOL and LOL. Sorry man I can't help but chuckle.

Where there at least a couple of beers involved? That makes it slightly better.

I was thinking about beer does that count?? Nope completely sober is the best way to ride a kids scooter, probably wouldnt have hurt myself if Id had beers in me!!

Well obviously that worked out well for you. lol

Yeah bit of liquid courage and you would have back flipped the thing. ;)

Haha sorry stu i had to

It's always the way, doing stuff with kids can hurt.
I've had mates break bones from falling out of trees, and off swings etc etc, alcohol is sometimes involved.
And trying to ride their bikes as well.

I have done a lot of stupid stuff before too.

Things like i've overfilled my car battery one time when topping it up.
So i thought id put a length of pvc hose into the battery and suck a little bit up
Thought i could stop it when i saw enough come up the tubing.
that didn't work, i ended up with a mouthful of battery acid, the moment it went in my mouth i instantly felt like all my teeth cracked!.
I washed it out lots of times, gargling etc.
reckon my taste buds were a bit off for a few days too.

other stupid stuff would include welding without a helmet half the time
I pay for it with sunburn for the next week or so!
Also checking whether the thing i have welded is flush after i'm done, i run my finger across the welds to check.
i love the smell of burning skin, it's close on grilled cheese smell, lol
welding while standing on wet concrete etc, get some shocks up through my feet/legs.
i've had a heap of burns from spatter as well, burns through your shirt or pant's socks pretty quick.
i had my overalls on fire too, when welding car exhausts

Worst thing i do is grind steel without safety glasses.
i have had my eyeballs scraped and picked at with the tip of a needle way to many times.
i know the full procedure off by heart
it seems to happen when i just want to quickly deburr something, or trim off a sharp edge etc.

Yeah it happens. I tried to do a pretty hectic wall ride on the 250 after a bit of dutch courage. Knocked myself out cold in front of all the kids. haha

I tried welding the other day with my gasless mig, without a helmet, my face has still not forgiven me, my good looks are somewhat damaged :p
