Hi guys,

Im new to miniriders/mini bikes and just recently purchased a DHZ DPRO 160 and after 4 hrs Ive just done an oil change.

The question I have for you guys is how much oil do I put in and how do I go about reading it on the dipstick??

ex. by just dipping the dipstick in and not actually screwing the thread in its coming up about half way... But if i am to screw it in the whole way the oil is reading really high.

I know its a rookie question but any help would be much appreciated as Im going riding this weekend.

Thanks guys

lol . i think it is not screwed in , and anywhere inbetween the cross hatch area is fine.

well if u do it not screwed in more oil is normally better than less :D

not screwed in is the most common procedure, how ever screwed in will be ok too unless your flogging the hell out of it all the time... the more oil the better cooling..

also most the time if you put too much oil in the engine will tell you by pushing a bit out of the breather tube...

another thing to factor is the angle the engine is sitting on.. if its leaning down more in the front due to stuffed forks, too long of rear shock or simply not on level ground then it will take more oil to read properly..

Hahahaha thanks guys for your help! I think Im going to go with the not threaded in approach!

If there is too much oil it wont cause too much pressure or blow anything will it?

Thanks again for all your replies!

Considering the amount of people who do the "not threaded" read (myself included), I'm sure it will be fine ;)
