Suzuki TS75 Info needed

I just picked up a complete Suzuki TS 75 2 stroke dirt bike today. Right now it doesn`t run. The motor isn`t stuck, and the clutch seems to work as well. I have no experience working on 2 strokes so if anybody out there could point me in the right direction on what I should do to get it running it would be much appreciated. Also, if anybody could tell me if there is a way I could test to see in the coil and cdi box work it would be very helpful. Thanks.

sweet rig mate.. would not take much to get her on the road

best way is just bolt it together & see if you have spark. & these TS's have whats called a rotary valve, hence why the carby is in the side of the engine. bit different to a normal 2 stroke engine

No 1 thing I always test on 2 smokes is the plug... and weather or not it'll spark (decently), so many times i've got em going again by simply replaceing the plug Hope that helps

Okay thanks for the tip timeeh. The motor didn`t spin over when I got is so I took the crank case cover and cylinder off and it now spins freely. This is probly a stupid question, but do I put oil in the crank case if so how much and what kind would be best Thanks.

What'd you have to dao to make the motor spin freely? Also what part do you mean by "crank case"?? You will need oil in the bottom end as this is for your gearbox, but as for the top end it is provided from the fuel (or the oil mix tank, which are usually cactas on a bike that age)

Mate, thats a carby sitting up front, dont put oil in there.... The oil filler at the back (the plastic plug/cap just asbove the kick start gear) will need gear box oil.

Okay, thanks. It doesn't have a dipstick to let me know how much to put in, but I am sure it will say in the owners manual, thanks for the help guys, I am hoping to have the motor back in the bike and try to fire it up tommorrow. :thumbup:

The factory microfiche is still on the common sites, like MrCycles.com.
A surprising amount of OE parts are still available.
An old dinger is very likely to need crank seals, points and at least rings, the carb cleaned, oil injection lines flushed, muffler de-carboned.
