i have a 2009 atomik 125cc motox with elec start cdi coil battery and was after some info about mounting a tacho onto it i would like instructions on how to do it and i would like to know if i have to buy a perticular tacho for it to work rightany help would be nice video instruction would be tops thanks in advance for any help

its as simple as geting the wires right and mounting in a good place,,, ill have a quick look to where the wires go

3 simple wires:

red: goes to the battery +
green: goes to coil -
black: goes to battery -
white: goes to accessories switch for gauge back light.

a tacho is a tacho is a bit of bling with no real purpose...

any damned aftermarket tacho from supercheap etc will work....

whether it works in scoring chicks is another matter entirely....
