so me and the missus got down to it and stripped it down to get the engine into the white frame...
had an issue witht eh rear engine bolt hitting the swing arm.. so had to end up take the swinga off as well..

then had issues lining up the engine mount holes but thin bar and a flat blade screwy got them lined up and bolts in...

and now the this the end result of pulling the other bike down and swinga off...

now for tomorrow is to put the swing (thanks to carlts) on the white bike, the white rear shock off the nitrous... and the front forks and triple clamps off the nitrous... and the nitrous engine will be goin in the DGS frame with all the fast ace suspension..... so in the next few days they both should be finished... hoping so any how..

Simply awesome mate! great donor, these should be looking sweet when done. Keep the pics coming :)

A very very decent buy then, pro tapers and all. Is the engine sweet in it?

Wish my misses would ride a bike then we could have gone riding today instead of looking at shops! We'll have to catch up next ride day maybe your misses can convert mine! :)

hahahahaha to easy mate... she gets shy around new ppl but once she knows ya its had to stop her talkin lol..

ok so opinion and question time.....

so i got the new swing arm on the bike... and because its wider then the cheap **** one i had on it, it looks like the swing arm is on a bigger angle then before... but its not... so my questions is whats your opinion on it and should i get a shorter shock......??

also you can see what i mean in my other pic above how the angle on the swing arm is the same..

this is it on the stand..

this is it under its own weight...

Ah dang. Its a tough swinger and getting a new rear shock would be the easiest way to solve the problem. Even a shock 20mm shorter would look to do the trick well and truly.

If you are intent on a new shock there is a pretty fool proof way of determining a suitable length. Get a piece of wood and cut it to a rough shock length and try drilling bolt holes in that are shorter than the current shock (i.e. 20mm less. Then see how the bike sits.

cheers for that carlts awesome idea.. +reps.... i got frustrated with it and i ended up putting the atomik together.. i will post pics up of that tomorrow..

Builds can get pretty frustrating at times ey, good to have a spare bike to run in the process because there is always set backs,

heck I started my build 21 months ago and I'm still not satisfied hehe

they aint the forks that will be on the bike.. they were just a pair to get a set of USD ones on it... its getting the ones off my atomik now that i have put the fast ace on the atomik..

so while i was waiting for payday do to get here i decided to get the atomik sorted.... thought i was almost finished until i hit another hurdle.... the bike i brought had 14 teeth front sprocket and a 37 teeth back sprocket... my plan was to use a 43 tooth back and the 14 front on my 150.. until.... the 43 t rear sprocket is for a bigger hub... so now i gotta wait till payday to get a new rear sprocket... im thinkin a 41 t or see if i can get another 43 t..

Shed looks like mine when bike building haha ;)
