i am wanting to do some water photography myself but i dont have a tripod yet.

yeah rule of thirds makes pics look so much better, and how did you know what fstop it was?

Camera Model = Canon EOS 7D
Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 1/800 second ===> 0.00125 second
Lens F-Number / F-Stop = 8/1 ===> ƒ/8 Aperture = ƒ/8
Exposure Program = manual control (1)
ISO Speed Ratings = 200
Metering Mode = pattern / multi-segment (5)
Flash = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
Focal Length = 50/1 mm ===> 50 mm
White Balance = auto (0)


Sound about right? lol dont answer that...i know its right

.jpg's hold quite a lot of header information...

Go to google, type in EXIF viewer. Find the download to suit your browser.

Right click on image.

Exif viewer will give you all the info you need.

Been looking and talking cameras today.. Thinking the D7000 Nikon will be the go 6fps and 1080p HD video is what has my interest

Enviromentaly sealed yes, but the body on a 7D is stainless not magnesium.

the new 1DX has the magnesium alloy body
