Gday everyone, this is a question for those who really know their stuff when it comes to engines.
now... long story short, ive got a dhz160 2011 model, and my carby let a bucketload of dust into my engine, and i rode it once without noticing, and under close inspection i found that the air filter was pretty stuffed...
anyway, i stripped down the bike to allmost nothing, and left the gearbox and bottom end of the engine untouched, so i took the right side engine panel off, the clutch off as well, and i also took the heads off.
now when i took the head off, i forgot which way the timing chain goes back into the head... i can see timing lines on the engine and the gears, but im not sure if they are supposed to aim in the same direction as each other, or in the opposite way...

personally i doubt many will understand what im saying, but i have put it all back together, but in the shower i was thinking about it and im really dont know if the timing is correct... i dont want to start it and **** my valve's, piston and conrod... possibly even the crank if there is enough pressure...
i can turn the engine over with a spanner and it goes through all the cycles but i dont think the timing lines are linked properly...

also on another note, apparently i need a new head gasket because they can only be crushed once? i hope not... lol.
and if your wondering why im taking the right side of the engine apart (near the clutch and whatnot) its because the bike is stuck in second gear from a bent gear selector shaft...
im getting the parts for that in a few days, but cant test it until i get this timing issue fixed!
haha dug myself a little hole...
anyway, if anyone knows where i can find a engine manual or something that would be great. (i didnt get one when i bought it soo....)
if i cant fix it i will have to call dhz and see what they say, or even my bike mechanic.
any help would be appreciated. thanks all!:beerchug:

I'll try to help the best I can. Im not the greatest at puting my ideas into word but ill try.
On the flywheel there will be a line. On the casing there will be a slight cut out at 12 o'clock roughly. These 2 marks need to line up.
On the cam gear there is 2 lines. You have to line 1 up with the knotch on the casing at 9 o'clock.
you will know if you have it at the correct spot when you have the chain on and you turn it over by hand the marks should all line up after the inlet valve closes. The marks will be hard to keep on the mark and want to roll off.
hope it helps a little bit.

yeah i saw all the timing lines on the engine block and the flywheel, and it also has some on the exterior of which i think is the rotor kit? its connected to the crankshaft because i can turn the bottom end of the engine over by twisting the rotor with my hand.
i can see all the timing lines, im just unsure if they all point towards eachother, like the fly points back to the bottom end and the bottom end faces the head. or if they all point forwards or something...
i tried to download the engine layout on the DHZ website but it only shows the parts, not how the engine lines up.
i still havent rang dhz or seen my bike mechanic, but ill be picking up some stuff from my mechanic in a few days so ill ask him. and if it is too difficult for them then ill call dhz, but im sure the mechanic would know what im talking about...
thanks for your help

T on the magneto @ 12 o'clock (there'll be a mark in the engine case also)

cam mark @ 9 o'clock...

if that falls you, use a small long screw driver and carefully stick it in the spark plug hole and roll the engine over anti clockwise till the screw driver reaches its highest location... this will be TDC and the cam mark will still locate @ 9 o'clock

If ur not sure man. wind the engine over by hand at the end before u actually start the bike. if the timing is wrong the engine will not turn over
