Was digging around in the shed last night when I found a pair of twin-pot calipers. I thought "Ah-ha! This is exactly what we need for minimotarding". Problem is I think they're rear brake calipers. So I'd like to know (I'm looking at you Londin and Jovian), is there anyway to adapt them to the front brakes?

looks very similar to the caliper i have now for the front. wat i think u will find is it is a caliper of an ATV. I see no reason why a relocator can't be made for that to fit. put it on ur disc and show wat position u reckon u could put it in. i have worked it out on mine butr need someone to make me a bracket. I know of a place in glasshouse but can't ever get out there

Alrighty, will give it a go. I may take my bike to a local engineering shop to get the rear wheel realigned with the frame correctly. I'm sure they could make a bracket for the caliper while I'm there. Alternatively I wouldn't mind a single disc version of Corey's setup :p

let me know how u go and i will go to the same place. i sent corey a message never got one back, the other alternative is a kx65/85 set up around 200 but u still need an adaptor

no_crf50_here is pulling big HP out of his engine and now Squeeby upgrading the front brake and i'm stuck in a hotel in Melbourne with no time to fittle with the bike ;) .... Squeeby; let me know how it goes with the rear wheel alignment, as you know, I need one to!!

Londin: I spent most of my spare cash on a VM24 carb, new camshaft and hd springs :p Won't be getting the wheel alignment done for a few weeks, probably won't worry about the brakes for a bit either as I'd like to get them done at the same time.

any engineers in brissy who can make up the bracket for me

is there a diff with the diff brake calipers,,, like i seen the ova sized 1 pot calipers and normal twin-pot and the 4 pot calipers,,,,,is the more the beter???

with one pot calipers the pressure is all being distributed into the one spot. but with mutiple pot calipers the pressure is being pushed down more evenly over the brake disk
