I have 2 boys (11 and 12) and wanted to get 2 bikes. after searching the old threads I narrowed it down to DHZ monster, Pitpro XR and MSO Pro. then after further research I started to lean to the MSO pro only to find out that they have all sold. so its back to the pitpro or Monster. I know this question has been asked a 100 times (trust me I have used the search button a few times) but the answer I am looking for is why one is better or not as good as the other and about cost of parts and customer service as well. I.e. how available parts are or is there a wait for parts for the Pitpro or Monster. Are the parts cheaper for one brand or the other. Or should I just wait for the 2009 models to come out. Or at their age should I not worry to much about what they get?

Just wondering when the new models come out and is there any info/pics of them yet.

thanks in advance for the help.
cheers
Jay

My budget is $2000-$2500 for 2 bikes

for starters mate the pitpro 140XR is way to powerfull for 12year olds

it even has a sticker on teh frame that says not safe for children under 14

i say go with mso
great service good bike once you go pro you cant go wrong :)
ill put a detailed answer when i get home.

ok thanks for that. did not know about the power so keep them coming. Sorry if the questions are a bit silly but never been into pit bikes. the kids keep nagging me for a bike. I tried getting two MSO pro's but just received an email stating that they just sold the last on Tuesday.
cheers

nah 140 will be fine, quite alot slower and safer than a 2stroke 80 or 85 or 125 which would probably be the other option for an 11/12 yearold.

my bro is 12 and he has riden a DHZ 140.
maybe go for a new DHZ 125's
but defernately u wont go wrong with DHZ 140. it is bullet proof.
Get them that and they will stop naggin ya hahah

I just got another email advising me that the DHZ140 Monsters are out of stock as well. so maybe the outlaw now. options running out. Does anyone have the outlaw and have any thoughts????

Have they ridden bikes before?
How tall are they?
I dont think they will be too powerful for them but PP xr and the Dhz are midsize bikes and have a seat height of 800mm+ so they may need something a little smaller with a seat height of around 750mm. But they are both good bikes for the price and u should be able to get 2 of either bike for around $1500 which is less than u are willing to spend so just remmember that saying u get what u pay for.

The MSO Pro is a great bike and cant be beat on value and quality but how long are they sold out for?
Another bike to look at in that price range would be a Pimpit 150cc or even the MSO 125s

the boys have riding experience and are tall. seat height wont be a problem. my eldest is taller than most 13yo's. I found the Pimpit website. which model do you recommend? I could not find any prices on there site. Does anyone know the prices of them.

They were on ebay for buy it now price the Gangster $1410 Gunslinger $1310 but I cant find any on there at the moment
I have not ridden them but they look nice and have some good parts on them.
