hi,
just got a TDR pro 125cc ducar engine.i have looked all over your site and i am still unsure of the valve clearances for my 125cc ducar engine.there are so many different measurement i dont know which ones to use.
my bike also blows a puff of white smoke when i back off,i have used 2 tanks of fuel and changed the oil to good oil before running in.
one last question, can i use premium unleaded fuel in my bike.

thanks:confused:

First you'll need feeler gauges go down to bunning for $6.90 youll get a set....
You should be running 0.003 Intake and 0.004 on the exhaust, thats by my manual for my Ducar 125 54x54 engine, and its good.

Dont really bother with the premium unleaded the higher octane doesnt give you any power increase at all, i have already looking into this and people said they have dyno tested it and got no power imporvements but in saying that its a cleaner burn im pretty sure so if you want to pay that little extra to keep the insides of your engine a bit cleaner go for it...

and blows smoke when your baking off i have no idea. someone will know though for sure

dont do this to me boys,2 replies,2 different answers, what the @#!$&

what oil did you put exactly?
and how did you run in the bike?

.003 intake and .004 is the most common setting

their has been 3 replies and 2 with the same thing...mine is by my Ducar engine manual the exact same engine that is in your bike mate trust me 0.003 intake and 0.004 exhaust.

i used castrol 15w-50 4 stroke oil.i ran the bike in easy but didnt pussy it around too much but didnt rev it out either.

running in bikes easy is bad, doesn't seal the rings properly to the bore.
Need to load up the engine in both deceleration and acceleration. hills are good for this.
dont need to redline the motor but get the revs up.
never stall or labour a new engine/newly rebuilt.

gees calm down bulldog y don't u just pm that to all users already

I shouldn't have to PM it to anybody. If they've searched there would be no need for me!! But seriously how many people use the search button befor posting? Not many. I know becuase I'm posting all the damn links for them.

Have a look at my last 100 posts most of the links have been to a thread on MR but then again I like posting links for the noobs :p.
