shit pegleg i feel bad for being half asian now haha. You got some good points there though I gotta say we aren't all like that. The housing estates thing....I think that has more to do with poor people doing it tough than where their from.

And yeh I hate people riding their sportsbikes with thongs on
 
i hate people that give me krap for riding a moped cause it's all i can afford

i hate it when i run out of gas on the way back up the hill

i hate punk kids who think that just cause one person is emotionaly unstable due to a death that they all need to be like that.

and i hate it when i fall off the rok wall

most motorcycle deaths on our roads involve a car or other vehicle whose driver just didn't see them, (or didn't look). Drivers need better education and awareness of bikes on the road.

i dont agree with that 90% of bike fatalitys from cars iv seen was the motorbikes fault i beleive motorbikes write themselfs off and i know you have all seem them zooming around dodging inbetween cars like madman with a death wish.

noodles_24..nothing wrong with mopeds mate, there like a fat chick, great fun to ride, but you wouldn't let your mates see you on one...

As the old saying goes...loud pipes save lives!! And its true to.

I definately see both sides of this debate. On one hand i am a motorbike rider thru and thru, not only dirtys but i've got a road bike to. I've been cut off by cars so many times that i've lost count, had people pull out in front of me, people change lanes right next to me etc etc etc. Its crazy, a lot of car drivers are just not motorcycle aware.
On the other hand though, i have done the exact same thing to other motorbike riders when i've been driving, but thru no fault of my own. I am a very cautious driver who always looks out and around for all other traffic (especially bikes). Sometimes though, i just shake my head when i see what some riders are doing. Riding at 100kmh down a freeway splitting lanes, weaving in and out of traffic without indicating is just not cool. Riders that do this stuff are 100% certain to end up as a greasy red smeer on the asphault at some point. Its people who do this kind of stuff that are giving the bike riders of the world a bad name.

We all know how dangerous it is to ride a bike on the road because car drivers don't look for bikers and when on a bike your so unpretected from impact etc etc. Why would anyone on a bike make the situation worse for themselves??

I've seen guys on brand new ZX10's, GSXR1000's, Bussa's and alike doing 200kmh+ on public roads. Just like i've seen guys in skylines, commodores, falcons, supra's going drag racing on public streets. My question is this. If you've got the money to afford a nice car or bike, why not save a little bit more and then buy a second one that you can drive/ride around the track as fast and stupidly as u want! I've driven a racing car in competition and i've ridden bikes in competition, after doing this, i feel no need to ride/drive fast on the roads because i know that come the weekend, i'll get to do it in a much safer environment. There is no point doing it on the road, if the cops don't get you....the tree or the wire fence will.

But, if these jokers want to turn themselves into smeers on the pavement then go right ahead, its not gonna be me sitting in the hospital for the rest of my life.
 
Yes, well I agree with all you've said, Matty. Unfortunately, there are more and more squids out there giving us 'real' bikers a bad name. If I'm lane splitting, I'm doing it at a slow speed, indicating (treat it as an overtaking manoeuvre), and wearing full gear. The other clowns wear shorts and t-shirt and speed down between traffic. That is pushing your luck. For me, the way that I do it, lanesplitting is no more dangerous than a cyclists riding on the side of the road - at least there's no traffic coming up behind me.

I have a road bike, and race bike (when I want to go fast) as well as my daily driven car, and track car (unfinished project as we speak). There's no excuse for being a wanker on the road ... on a bike or in a car! Each side of the fence has its own share of wankers. However, there are far more wankers in cars than on bikes.

Have you ever heard of a bike killing an entirely family? Have you heard of bikes being used in ram raids? Have you heard of bikes wiping out the side of a building? Have you heard of bikes ploughing through a crowd of people? Cars are the tool of choice by most dickheads and they wave them around on the streets like weapons.

Why are motorcycles restricted for learners and P-platers, but cars are not? Why does a P-plater need a V8 powered or turbo-charged car, just to go to school or work at Maccas? Perhaps the government should wise up and stick all the young and inexperienced drivers into low HP 4 cylinder cars.
 
ruby, sorry to but in but L platers are restricted for cars, they can't even drive a WRX or anything, no v8's or anything, hope they don't change cos 4 mi P's im gonna hassle dad for the valiant, lol.
i hate people that hate people for god dan reason or that they make fun because they are disabled or have mental problems, they never chose to.
and another thing is im nto racist but i only hate the Black people that insult all other ppl and think its okay for them 2 be racist about black or white people but we cant like when u see "gansters" going around the street and they're like.
"oh yeh u think u white boys r tougher than us nigers??" and shit.
 
but it's true all P plate drivers should be limited to 2litre or under non-turbo cars!
