umm its like a hiss and cant put old cover on...... broke it,,,,, i think the noise is coming out from the carby but not sure..... any 1 had this problem b4?
did you do your valve clearances yet? my bike was running very similar to that and was really hard to start with F-All Compression. then I did the valves and found my inlet valve had no clearance at all. once they were done my bike started up easily and ran a shitload better.
From now on when my bike runs like dogs balls the first thing I'll check is the valves.
sounded to me like the hissing was timed with the pistons.. could be a compression leak.. :S without hearing it and looking at it not much i can do.. umm... grr.. i doubt it has anything to do with carby.. but all i can say is.. i dont suppose u lost ur keys filling ya lil pitty with gas
ok ill jst the valves soon but does any 1 know how to do it,,, like do i jst check the cover off and check its in the right spot??? or do i gonna change them around??
best thing to do is readjust the valve clearences while ur checking them.
1. Get the engine to a point where the cam IS NOT exerting any force on the rocker arms.
2. Put the right feeler gauge (0.03" and 0.05") between the rocker arm and the top of the valve them.
3. Undo the 9mm nut(s) ontop of the rocker arms and tighten it down ontop of the feeler gauge until its tight but you can jsut pull the feeler gauge out.
