Can I convert my fully manual engine to a semiauto clutch?

Is it possible for me to use my stock manual engine on my ssr 125sr and make it a semi auto transmission? I would love to do that and save me trouble in the long run since Im not racing just ripping it.

yeah, i looked into the idea.
but was to convert a semi auto into a full auto.

all you'd need is -
a gasket set
a semi auto gearshift rod,
a new semi auto clutch (complete)
a new semi auto clutch cover
and swap the parts over.
fresh oil.

Do you know where I can get these parts and about how much should it cost?

you are best off looking here
Google

or message one of the site sponsors, FirePower Mini's, DHZ, etc etc

I recently asked if its possible to change my bike from a fully manual to a semi auto and they said it was. Now I want to know the steps in changing it. Is it an easy process? What parts would I need? And If I want to buy a semi auto clutch where can I get one with 4 speeds or more? The only one I saw was one with 3 speeds. Help really needed.

What motor do you have ? your going to need something that will accept the honda clutch housing first..

4 speed and 3 speed have nothing to do with the clutch.. i think its way outside your skill level to attempt such a task if you dont know the inside workings of one of these motors.

It'll be more realistic just to find a honda motor and put a big bore kit in it

I have a stock ssr 125sr motor and should I just keep the manual clutch? I don;t know where to get the plates, Ive looked everywhere, that why I wanted to make this switch.

well firstly is the clutch arm for the cable at the front of the motor or the top?

if its front mounted then your in luck..

being a 125 engine id run a tb semi auto race clutch.
then you'll have to source a clutch cover, gear shift shaft with the arm and also the pieces that sit in the middle of the clutch...
dont forget a gasket..

It is front mounted not rear. Now what?

yeah i read the other thread before this thread popped up...

unfortunately its not always as easy as everyone's said..

this is a 125 engine so a 110 clutch will have a hard time, hence the reason i suggested a tb race clutch..

the kit from dhz is not a complete kit, couple of items missing..important items lol..
gear shift shaft and clutch case.

now one more problem to add..
depending on the engine the crank gear can be different (gear that fits into the clutch)
if he hasnt got the same ratio then he will also need the large gearbox gear (primary gear).. there is a 67 and a 69 tooth ratio

so firstly he needs to work out what gear he has on the crank then speak to Terry at firepower minis..
i would get this http://www.firepowerminis.net/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=30401
then ask terry if he can supply everything else needed for the conversion..
