he guys, my d.i.d chain has had its day, and i need a new one. i wasnt really impressed with it, it constantly needed adjustment. im not sure what to get, as i want something that will last. my chain is the standard 420 pitch. i've heard RK are good, but there a bit pricey. any suggestions? cheers in advanced.

I use DID 420 NZ3 Gold Chain its $54.95 + post from DHZ this is the best chain i have ever used i have them on all my bikes and they last a longtime if you look after them by cleaning them and re oil it after every ride day when cleaning the bike up. I have used the RK Gold Chain 420 but its not as good as the DID NZ3 Gold Chain.

Blender, I said that I would update you on how my RK chain went. I fitted it, adjusted to correct tension after fitment, and have had two solid rides on my 50. My thing makes real good horsepower and it still doesn't need adjusting. Has not stretched, and if it has, then barely. I am crazy about my bike maintenance, and like everything to be perfect. Can not say one bad word on this chain. It was an RK 420 MXZ that I was using. Available standard finish or gold. The gold is a little bit dearer, but looks trick. Don't know how anyone could complain about anything RK make. Top quality stuff !!

cheers man, i'll have a look around and see prices. i'll probably go the RK (gold of course, haha) and be done with it.

The DID Gold Chain i use didnt need adjusting again after being fitted. But the RK 420 MXZ Gold Chain that i used needed adjusting a few times.

When i got the RK one its a lighter in weight then the DID one. The thickness of the side links are thicker on the DID then the RK one.

so the d.i.d is better constructed? i can just tell there may be some 'heated' discussion over this topic, lol.

I think that guy works for DID. But yeah that is the RK chain to go with if you do go that way.

Yes i think the DID Gold Chain is better constructed but thats my $2 worth lol. I use this sort of chain like i said on all my bikes (4 atm lol) the Ciniworx in FOTM, my Braaap that my stepson races, my chopper thats my avatar and a newer Braaap that i only just finished last week to update my stepsons bike all these bikes get ridden hard and never had a drama with this chain. I recommend this chain to all my customers whos bikes i work on and most of them have brought this chain and think the same as me about them.

hmm, im at a bit of a "conundrum" there both around the same price, and 1 person says DID, the other says RK. i might go the DID, just because your cini has it and to tell you the truth it got my vote in FOTM. plus i have heard abit about DID, but based on my past experience i kinda wanna get the RK and see what its like....Argh! decisions, haha ;)

I'm with Rodney, the gold did chains are all I use and they don't stretch and are really well made compared to some other chains I've seen as in the run thicker side plates like mentioned.
I'm running a did chain on the 190 and when it was getting ridden it was getting some solid on off torque through it and no movement at all, oh and I don't work for did either haha.

Interesting that it turns out that you work on bikes and sell those DID chains. Hmmm. Check out RK's website Blender and decide for yourself whether RK do anything by halves. Their chains are premium chains, and some of the best chains you can buy. It's also pretty easy to bag on products. Look at how many bikes come with DID chains standard brand new. The only thing those chains are good for, is going straight in the bin.

Wow, you guys should be doing all this election sh**, NOT tony abott and kevin rudd!! i tell ya what, it would probably make me interested in politics haha. im leanin toward the DID, cos the majority of people have said there good. i'll have a look on RK's site and see what i think.

Who works on bikes and sells these chains mate, I'm feckin confused, only good for the bin geez your brains on drugs dude, i didn't bag on anything in my statement I just made a statement and shared my opinion. Bagging is being done by you as in saying bin it.
Anyways I'm out of this one.

LOL I had been using DID chains before i started my business i stock them because of the good run i have always had. I was not bagging the chain out just saying i have had a better run with the DID chain then the RK but its up to you which way you want to go Blender.
