hey guys this has really been buggin me. i have a 125 with 14/12 wheels....and i want more power and definately a bigger bike. so wat shud i get? i take care of my bikes, and i want a china bike (yea yea i kno, but hav u seen the prices on these things?) i've looked around at some that might be good, but im not realy sure, as i dont kno what to look for and what to avoid.

how much bigger? i went from a nitrous to a pitpro se with small wheels and felt 80% more comfortable and im 6'5
they say the atomik blits 250 is not bad at all but as usuall you will have to replace the shocker to somthing decent in a little while of owning you can pick them up for 800

well i want something pretty big. say 19/16 or 21/18 or 21/19 inch weel set up. but i want the seat hieght to be quite high, regardless of what wheel size seet hieght is my man concern as my 125 is tooooo small

How much did you wanna spend bud?? can get a second hand jap bike for the same price as a new chinese 25.

I have had an atomik blitx 250 and ridden 2 other chinese 25os and they have been terrible

What state are you in mate?

also the pitpro 250's feel pretty nice to ride also, i only had 5 minutes on it but its was fun

hey guys im in lismore nsw so anything around byron, tweed, and that kinda area is what im after. the psto looks nice, but i'll a look on gumtree (ive only just discovered it, lol) but i was wonderin if the psto's are any good for jumping. cheers jack.

If I were you I wouldn't be jumping and china 250's unless it was like a $3000 bike at least. Like the psto. But add a few extra $100's and you can get a pretty decent second hand jap bike and never look back again!

well if i wanted a jap bike the title of the thread would be what JAPANESE (FULL SIZE) should iget. i started this thread lookin for a CHINESE BIKE C-H-I-N-E-S-E. so if anyone has some real input, it would be much apreciated. amd i thank the people that have actually reprresented some usefull info.
Cheers jack

Wouldn't it be awkward if i said to go buy a J-A-P-A-N-E-S-E bike.

Unfortunately China 250s are underpowered and the power to weight ratio is horrible, most of the 250 full size Chinas are out of proportions and just don't look right, there are some that look okay but are still underpowered, but if you are certain then I would be going with the watercooled motor as they are a higher compression donks and you can ride for longer than a China aircooled 250 would allow, if you go aircooled make sure it has a cooling fan. Xmotos do a Quite nice crf kind of lookalike fullsize China with linkage rear suspension. Just do your homework and feel free to pm me a link and I would be more than happy to give you an unbiased opinion and help you sort the absolute rubbish bikes out and hopefully steer you towards a mostly decent ride.

IF I was going to buy a chinese 250 I'd be looking at stuff like brakes, suspension, etc. From what i have seen most chinese 250's cut costs by using pitbike parts like brakes, forks, rear shock which means they are working harder than what they are designed for and thus less reliable.

I would recommend the Atomik Blitz. There is a huge writeup on it by Thump*140 with tonnes of information somewhere on this forum. The bike has plenty of interchangeable parts with other Yamaha's and the engine has decent power, especially when fitted with an OKO 26mm

There are a fair few for sale on ebay and gumtree for under a grand at the moment. I wouldnt spend more than $1.5-2k on a chinese bike, once you start getting into this price range you would be far better off getting a second hand Jap bike

i could never recommend any one buy a chinese 250.... you would be better off getting any 250 jap bike from 1980 to 2013

what you save in money on a chinese 250 you will loose in metal health & riding time

cheers man, thats the answer im lookin for. i have seen my fare share of horrible chinas, but i have seen a few that like you said are evenly proportioned, water cooled, and have decent looking suspension and brakes. heres a link to the one i think is best.
Cheers jack

That bike in the link is one of the better ones mate, we have a customer at work with that same 250 and he loves it and rides it all the time, he keeps it clean and well maintained and that alone has lengthened the life of the bike, usually mistreated, uncleaned and just plain treated like **** bikes don't last long at all, he has had it since new for 4 years now and although not the fastest and lightest bike it has withstood the test of time so far. If you like it and want one then go for it I reckon mate. There isn't any aftermarket performance parts for them but they are more reliable in std form anyway. Let me know if ya purchase one dude.

thanks rotn50 you have helped me out a heap. i really apreciate it man. im gonna get one of these, just gotta rack up the 1821 bucks to get it delivered.....oh well its better that 8 to 10 grand i spose lol. and has your friend changed anything at all e.g. chain sprockets etc? just wondering as it will help me decide whether i need them or not.
Cheers

Anytime mate, that's what miniriders is all about, the bloke did get an o-ring chain for the 250 as the crap china keeps stretching and slapping the swinger. I would recommend getting a motobatt battery as they are the ducks nuts and we sell them at work and have not had one return where the china junk batteries would come back all the time, The earth lead from the battery to the engine needs replacing as the wire is known to burn out(we use car stereo H/D earth wire), If you try the performance cdi(not recommended) make sure that the stock cdi stays attached to the bike so you can hook it up when the performance cdi fails lol, also put silicone around the cdi wires where they enter the terminal into the cdi, if these wires get water( in the terminal joining clips) in them you lose spark until it dries out which doesn't help when all you want to do is ride.
