what chinese 250 (FULL SIZE) should i get?

cheers mate im just gonna replace the chain with a nice o-ring jobbie and leave it at that. im not gonna bother with the whole cdi thing. to much of a stuff around. i'll let you kno how it goes when i get it.

thanks mate. my 125 has got a problem. wonderin if u cud help. it seems to be overjetting, but im not sure. when i change up to 3rd from second, when i let the throttle go i get this horrible revving. dunno what it is but its making it pretty annoying to change gears. thanks for all ur help mate.

does it only happen from 2nd to 3rd, and as in revving is it not dropping from the revs its at when you back off the throttle to change gear?

yes only from 2nd to 3rd and it over-revs. say i'll be at 2000rpm and then when i let go of the throttle, pull the clutch in i go up to about 3500. sorry about crappy explaining, english isnt my subject lol.

If it was jetting id expect it to happen between all gear changes. The throttle cable is not stiff, the grip is not rubbing on the throttle body?.

nope i have checked everything. and yeah thats wat i thought with the jetting (doing it on all gears) but it may be the bable. i'll take it apart and make the most of my week end lol.

Yeah buddy def check the cable, if there is to much of a bend somewhere it may cause a lil drama, even though you can never run the cable straight you gotta try and run it as straight as possible, cheers mick

ok guys i ckecked my throttle cable for kinks, found none so i decided to start the bike and go around the driveway and see if it does it again (it happens on and off) and it happened worse than ever. i was afraid my valves might fly up 2 my face an teach me a lesson lol. so i rode back in and pulled my carb off and had alook at my barrel and bingo! dust, red dirt and a cochroach were found. i took em out and sprayed my carb with wd40 and took it out ahain. still did it, although not as bad as before. but the i noticed something. when i turn left she revs up about 500-800 rpm. so i took it in and did my cable (which i should have done first...i kno) and took it out again. i was soooo happy i decied to go on my tiny jump and hav some fun. MISTAKE....blew my rear shock and fell on my a** bigtime. so i took it back in ....again lol and put a spare sh** one on and all good. so i decide to go for a longer ride. my chain comes of while i'm as far as possible from my house...which is about 7-8 k's. so i cut thru some guys lawn and went on the main road and commenced a long walk home. when i got home i took my sprocket cover off and found that there were only about 3 teeth that were still there. u kno that feeling were something goes so wrong u think that anythin else would be just a ok? well now i have....lol so i decided i would spend the rest of my long weekend detailing my bike. i got her all nice and clean 2daay and did all the plastics screws and now i have a motorbike that looks like a motorbike! YAY!!!!! (forced smile) lol. and im thinking of reprayin my plastic black. any tips on paintin plastic???

Haha, nice one bud. If you turn the bars and it revs up then the throttle cable needs loosing up at the throttle assembly, must be to tightly adjusted.

cheers mate just loosen it up till it stops revin? and how do i paint plastic an stop it from cracking (if there is a way) and im sure your thinking 'my god if hes askin that than he should be allowed near a spray can' lol but im new to the whole dirt bike scene lol.

If your doing it with a spraycan, get some paint from an auto place made for bumpers, in saying that you can get plastics on ebay for like 20-30 bucks, the right paint will cost 15 or so, i'd just buy new ones

yeh i have paint on hand and its a long weekend so everythins shut and my bikes broken, so im just gonna make it better looking and cleaner and hopefully a little faster. heres a link to my new thread. Cheers guys

All good bro, im like motodevo, id get new plastics but if ya bored go for it dude. Yeah just slacken the throttle cable off bit by bit until the revs don't change when you turn left and right lad. Have a good long weekend tinkering bud.
