Mayb get some number made up for the sides to melly it out a bit hay.

Hi im am new to this just wanting some info for my son and friends and dnt if im in the right forum but hoping someone could help me ......yesterday my son and his friends who have trail bikes went riding up the bush and yes they are unregistered and unlicescened....silly i know.....but where we live a lot of bush and trails and lots of other kids doing the same anyway we have a neighbour who calls the police evrytime.....so yesterday they got caugt coming up my driveway which houses three other houses....and police were there...this police officer was not nice wanted to confiscate the bikes but i told the boys to push them in the garage and close the door....wasnt happy as he then told us he was going to get a warrant which we said do so....but the thing is he never told me what the fines were how much do they give them to u on the spot???? or does it have to go to court ???? and also told the boys they will be losing there car L's.....as one of his friends were leaving on a push bike stopped him and gave him a on the spot fine for not having a helmet...this policeman is out for us...also told us the bikes are not to leave the garage by foot or by car so just need some help if anyone can..thankyou

umm it cos there unregistered and unlicescened bike as they are not Road Worthy. i got done riding out in reedy creek bush, got about hmmm 700 buck worth of fines, i was too on my l's they got for all tha jazz about not have L plates on and not driving with some one on openings, i was looking throw tha fine the other day. no helmet was for me like $240 bucks for on a moto. i think fine just have to be paid wit in 28 days of getting them, unless they gave u a a little white slip saying you have to go to court i would think not, but be on the safe side ring the police station to find out more.

Firstly.. welcome to miniriders.. tis a shame you posted in someone else's thread.. but here are a few pointers for future reference....

1.we DO NOT condone illegal riding, If your sons and his friends decide that is what they are going to do to ride.... be prepared to face the consequences.. and get flammed here for it..

2. there is a layout to the forum.. .. have a look around, check out the search function.. posting random questions in other peoples threads isnt very nice

3. try using paragraphs.. it makes it easier to read and understand.

4. as for your sons friend, riding off home without a helemt on his push bike.. BUSTED.. Public road, FINED. no ifs or buts about it.

5. I wouldnt be surprised if the occasional PLOD browsed the forum, so take that into consideration EVERYONE...

6. I suggest hiring a helicopter and moving the bikes..

to the OP... what does it matter what ANYONE else thinks!??? If YOU are happy with a kit.. Go for it!

There is a lot of information regarding laws on the internet... you can even email the police for information!

Personally I hope the policeman gets his warrant, confiscates the bikes and the kids lose their L's and are fined in the appropriate manner. If you don't want to obey the law you not only deserve the punishment you are given but you bring the rest of us into disrepute by association (in this case).

I'm not going to say I never break the law, but I certainly never complain when I get caught (and I don't do anything as stupid as you described). Follow foolsp33d's advice above and in future, pull your head in; I'm happy you aren't my neighbour... Do yourself (and your neighbour) a favour and buy a trailer, learn your laws and respect them.
