I wish these mass ebay sellers would flood the Aus. market with cheap pit bikes instead of these half breed things. ppl would start to figure out whats what in the pitbike world. Also there would be interchangable parts everywhere. The average Aussie punter doesn't know the difference between the different bikes and it's really holding back the whole scene here in oz. Instead we're being flooded with bikes and motors no one is going to waste time developing to any really competative level and so no local aftermarket hop up parts supply. I don't really care if ppl want the goofy half cross look but the ducar is a waste of time and now there everywhere. Stock standard my lifan powered bike blows them off without ever needing to shift into 4th. I think some of the early pitbikes looked fugly and ozzies being fixated on the mx look took to these Orions and Atomiks.
If you can get a ride on a decent pitbike do it. Then go check out some of the new model pitbikes even the cheapies. If you buy one, in twelve months you could be dropping a locally sourced big bore kit in and will be very glad you didn't buy the Orion or atomic.

so is it any good or not. could not really folow what you were saying.

they are probably the best cheap chinese bike on ebay

i think they look quite good. good ride height, half decent looking frame, bbr style exhaust (not one of those ****** ones with the expansion chamber lol), bbr style footpegs, 26mm MIKUNI CARB

i would get one if i had the money...

Sorry I just reread my post and didn't follow very well either!
All I can tell you is the bike your looking at looks better than it really is. The build quality of these bikes is very poor and the ducar motor not generally considered any good.
The other problem is that the whole aftermarket parts industry is geared and driven by the US and European scene. Ultimately what we end up with here is a direct result of whats going on there. I saw an ozzie post on a big mini forum in the US asking about Orions and the common reply was '...a what?...' nuff said. If you look carefully on ebay you'll find dotted here and there among the fifty thousand Orions & Detonators & Atomiks some decent bikes. Post em up ppl will help.

I sort of agree... except I can't see a chain tensioner, kicker and brake lever looks very thin and forks look like china fast-ace copys. Exhaust is hanging very low what else is there... so I start getting nervous. Start in any gear is good. I don't trust though when no close ups of bike, description is wrong and claim of 14 hp?!! Don't think so....

No one is forgetting anything, a good bike for $900 is a good bike and a piece of crap for $1400 is still a piece of crap. Its all just people gettin educated in what to look for and when that happens the crap will not sell and the importers will get us better bikes. Simple.

so what makes that other ebay bike better. eg does it have stronger frame or what. i would of thought the one i posted would have been stronger.

i mainly want to use it for bashing around a farm but maybe ocasaly take it to a track like south morang. and most of all it has to be cheap i only have around $900. what do u guys spend on maitance.
i wont be woriying about hotting it up.

cheers.
