Hey guys

What is that stuff you wrap around your exhaust so you don't burn yourself or melt anything on it?

I need some because my oil cooler lines are going to hit my exhaust.

Is this stuff expensive?
Can I buy it at Super Cheap Auto?
What is the exact name of this stuff?

thanks

Exhaust Wrap,

1 inch wide $70
2 inch wide $110

auto shops sell it, but itll most prob be 2 inch wide or wider, for extractors and car exhausts thou,

youd only want 1 inch,

buy it by the metre its cheaper a few dollars at the most well mine was

I got mine from autobarn nd set me back $18, 1 inch wide nd around 10 foot long or sumfin. Its called heat wrap or extractor wrap nd any auto shop is the go. Are you wrapping an exhaust or oil lines coz thers no point wrappin the lines nd they wont melt neway

thats for 15m rolls,

if you can find it by the metre than yeah go for it,

but ive been buying it for years and never seen it off the roll, so cant help you getting it in Adelaide,

you dont NEED it, every bike ive seen the lines clear the exhaust just fine, so how come yours dont?

or is it for the "****" factor look LOL:D

Nah it's coz I have the 138cc motor now. I only need to wrap the part that's near the head. I won't wrap the actual lines.

Your lines are in the wrong place if they touch the exhaust. I got some wrap for my MSO from a muffler shop (I got it because my 3 year old burns her shoe when se gets a double).

no worries,

ill see sun if i have any left over, and ill whack some in the post for ya mate if i do, (free)

Cheers

man get like a spring and rap it round it or something that tape seems expensive
