What is the best bike i can get for under $500

just think of it this way, if you get a cheapo one for 450, its gonna break something pretty quickly, and seeing you said you got no more money, its gonna be stuck in the shed broken!!!!

if i was you, id just wait and save till you can get something like a prox, Pitpro etc, you only need like 200 more, and the difference in bikes will be heaps better,

rememeber these bikes need plenty of maintenace and repairs, its not just a case of spending $450 and riding it for a year, things will need fixing...

As much as I'd like to spend more on a good bike, I'd rather save the rest of my mula for good car when I'm 18 next year. I've already got enough expensive hobbies as it is so this ones gotta be cheap!

Some sortof 125 small wheeled BSE. Baught it from a pitbike shop here in Adelaide, it was allright, I learned so much from it, was a good first bike, learned how to fix everything and how not to break stuff. It still runs today, friends ride it.

Well, I think im going to get a Pitpro RR. I might save up. But I also found this cheap Atomik Motox 125 going for about 450. Maybe i could just spend some money on some mods which will make it last a bit longer? Could any of you guys give me some tips on what to mod to make it last longer.

Its the same as all cheap bikes, there are things that will go wrong and unless you can affford to replace or repair, why bother!? You have a bike.. its up for sale.. Fix it and use the spare cash to upgrade parts!!
Or do like the boys mentioned and put up some milkbar lawn mowing ads.. $10 a lawn 10 lawns hundred bucks, 100 lawns 1k! cant wash cars due to water restirctions.. keep that in mind! or you will be paying fines instead of saving for a bike~!

You could wash windows, you should be able to get $40 per house for inside and out. Do two every saturday for a month and you can get a MSO X6r

for 500 bux id buy a mid 80's jap 80! flog any $500 pit bikes and are strong and relyable as!

save up more! im only 12 and have made like 2 grand off boundary umpiring in the winter 4 2 years for the SFL, old grown-ups footy, i average around $900 a year, but i blow it, lol. get a job or something, get something more than $500, look at the mods i hav done, a fuel cap, plastics and a few decals, those cost me around $100+ with postage, ur lookin at a bike for under $450 cos u need 2 remember, the bike doesn't get itself 2 ur door! look, ur b'day is cumin up, either ask ur old man 2 get u one or ask just 4 cash for ur b'day!!!
