Yeaah well i currently ride a CRF230F and a Atomik 70cc ( my bros now but hehe :p) and i'm going to upgrade to a bigger bike soon. I was deciding between a CR125 or a CRF250R etc. Which bike do you think i should go for? I haven't rode a 2 stroke before but my bro might be getting a CR80 so i'll see what happens.

Test the cr80 if that isnt powerful enough try the cr125

it depends what you use it for but if i was you id probs get a cr250 or crf250r because if u get the cr250 it will save you upgrading from a cr125

sloth, getting the cr250 will save me upgrading you're right, but if i get the CRF250R i can still go up to CRF450R.. So either way it's the same sinario(sp)

Jakey my bike is already faster then a cr80, not on take offs and stuff but yeah, although it would have alot more track capabilites.

450 is overboard! i know some experienced riders who have had 450f's and then went 250f's and wont go back! they are alot easier to throw around and you can handle the power much easier

I know a couple of crf250f riders and the bikes have great power and really good handling and they love them. The only downside is that they are a bit high maintanence, They require servicing every 10 hrs of ride time and one bloke I know services his every ride cause 2 rides = more than 10hrs. Thatsa lot of oil changes over a year or 2. Also a top end rebuild every 200hrs which is way harder to do, than doin one on a 2 banger. My best mate has a cr250 2 stroke and it doesnt cost him too much, Just oil for the fuel, oil in the g'box and a new set of rings when it starts gettin a bit slow and harder to start which for him is about once a year cause he rides like a girl but thats another story. Just somethin for u to think about when u look at new bikes

Yeah thanks i'll look into that, but do you mean crf250 R or F

get the 4 stroke mate i got one and love it......if you just keep regular maintenance up and those air filters clean before every ride they are a really good bike.....so many people dog them out but i have had mine for a while now and only done my valves twice and 1 piston and i ride very frequently as i have my own track and race quite a bit

It's pretty expensive though, i can sell mine for $3500 but i'll still need like $1000-2000 more.. Only done your valves twice? How long do you recomend before doing your valves? And does the bike have alot of kick into it, like i know it would flog my bike but yeah.
