Gooday all.

Got a question to ask you pitbike pros, dont know where the places are to look for pitbike parts, should stick to the bbig bikes

Anywhat brought one of the old "cheapo" 125's of ebay to much around with mates.
Have done everything possible to keep it in good nick.

Dont know why so many people complain, for $500 and alittle bit of maitiance the thing has gone unreal!
Only thing that had previously broken was the rear shock (most likely after the sx riding done on it  haha

replaced that with a fact ace now which is unreal, just keep it on the back wheel for everything now, goes unread through the whoops.

But I cant keep it on the front when I have a busted up wheel haha.

After all the sx riding I had been doind I took it out mxing and the front rim caved in (steel not aluminium) on some acceleration bumps, get that!

So the question asks, where is the best place to find a new front wheel minus tyree and tube
or alternatively just the rim + spokes, I could lace myself.

I have looked on ebay but it is very difficult to find a 14 front that is disk brake not drum and also has a 15mm axel,
if there is one it's usually too expencive.

I just want to pick one up for around $30

or possibly do you think the rim could possibly be rerolled? (slight bump out to one side, not incredibly bad)

Cheers in advance for any replys.

well I found one that sold on there for $30, unfortunatly I was alittle late,
You wont find one from the shops on there(pit pro e.t.c) but possibly from individual sellers, unfortunatly they just arnt common enough and as soon as one hits the market everyone bids and the price rockets.

I wouldnt care if it was 2nd hand either

G'day mate , I noticed you where preety local on Aus dirt bike forum so I'll extend my hand to help you haha

ALLOY RIMS WHEELS 14 12 INCH INNOVA TIRES PIT BIKE PRO - eBay Other Makes, Bike Parts, Motorcycle Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 29-Oct-08 20:37:41 AEDST)

Other than that I couldnt find anything else. Few weeks earlier and I would of had a gold motovert wheel for ya for $25 but she's gone.

Ill keep an eye out. Just lurk around the net and see if anyone is parting out their bikes!

see part of that so called maintenance we aparantly do is tightening the spokes
yes i will agree it is not a common practice in fact i'd reckon not one person on here would tighten spokes as part of there pd hell i know of some shops that dont
but it is a must and like yourself i learn't this the hard way

good luck ya might get one cheap but i personally wouldn't use it your wheels are a fairly important part and personally i wouldn't risk my life on coke cans

Like I said, bike is maintained very well, spokes tightened every few rides, the acceleration bumps are just alittle knarly for the poor little thing, this is the track so you can see it get's alittle rough for the 50's

Which is beside the point.
