i have a small problem i can buy a dhz outlaw 160r with oko 26mm flatside anr pro tapper bars or i can get a revolutionmx ttr 155z for the same price what will i be better off with i want do jump a lot with a little bit of racing i dont wanna spend any more money than i have to whats are your thought thank you

i would go the rev mx in your case . as u still need to upgrade your chain and stuff, the rev mx comes with all that .

all i can say is linkage isnt everything

not everyone loves it and can adapt to it its a self prefernce and also its hard to say because the ergos of both bikes are completely different i cant really comment on either as i havent ridden either but i can imagine they would both have the advantages and disadvantages

and its only, $150 more right now as there on sale

with upgrade what will i have to do with dhz you say chain and stuff what do you mean by stuff

carb, uni filter, chain, good tyres + an oil filter

there will be postage with the dhz , around the same as rev

revmx (if its still on sale (if not its 2149)) is 2049 delivered and the dhz is 1840 or 1900 depending where you live.

both bikes seem to be great. choice is yours, just make one and stick to it ;) ither way you wont go rong

ok everyone has convinced me to go the rev mx dose the rev mx have a irk already or not

ork = outer rotor kit... way 'better' then an IRK IMHO

I agree its not everything coz im still sus on them and not really interested in having another moveable part on a pit bike that has the potential of breaking. A good, well setup direct mount rear shock still rides well in the worse of conditions.

one point you fella's are missing... tho i do understand what you's are saying..

the linkage setup requires far less spring rate just like an a style swing arm setup so it helps reduce the impact shock to nearly all the moving parts in the back of the bike (bearings, chain, shock bush's and so on)

300lbs shock vs 1000 lbs shock, fair amount of difference..

it also help suspension tuning for rebound and compression, soft shock helps the rear wheel stay on the ground over stutters and small bumps.. heavy shock makes the rear wheel bounce or glide over them meaning traction loss...

also all these years ktm's had the same setup as a pit bike and now they are slowly changing to linkage..
most jap bikes have had linkage since the early 1980's
