not sure but it should work, i would easy be able to put a 17 on mine, maybe just ride the bike around and let the chain stretch a bit more then stick it on. thats about all you can do unless you change the rear sprocket to a smaller one or a new chain, easy option is to stretch the chain

I don't think I would be able to stretch the chain any more. I have been riding on it for about 3 months. I think I might just swap it for a 15t or 16t.
 
A 17t sounds too big and going from a 14t to a 17t is like changing your rear sprocket down 9 teeth from your current 41t to a 32t. So just change to a 15 and see how it is and if you still want more top end then change the rear to a 39t.
